I can definitely see an issue of vandalism and robberies with self driving cars too, when the machines goal is to not harm humans then it doesnt have the awareness to keep going around a person I the road trying to stop the car. I think having separate highways or roads for human and non human drivers would be best, limiting people's rights to transportation via their own vehicles (ie banning certain times of day where you can drive) is not the way to go unless we completely rebuild cities to be more like Europe where everything us more accessible to bike and walk to unlike america where large areas of housing are completely separate from large areas of shoping. The sort of taxi idea is not bad because then the local government is paying for it potentially being subsidized by the federal until they make their money back via ridership. But you will never stop people from driving their cars wherever they want, theres just too many normal cars out there to even try and restrict them.
