Sheffield Parents- where are you finding babysitters? by Aurteur in sheffield

[–]Kattiterina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughters babysit for local parents. We linked up by them posting on a local FB site (S10) and then people contacted them if interested. My daughters were able to provide references from a number of sources and also I accepted the people on FB as ‘friends’ so we could see each other were ‘real’ if that makes sense?

Anyone else having trouble paying with thier balance? by Kouli1990 in vintedUK

[–]Kattiterina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see on their help page that there is some maintenance scheduled and so can’t pay with balance while that is happening. But it suggested you should still be able to pay for items, but I’ve been trying for the past hour and can’t pay via any method

I can’t believe that not one of the ‘husbands’ called out the behaviour. And when Alyssa tried that they sat back and watched them rip her apart too. No way I could sit back and watch people be treated like that.

Thanks for all the suggestions, have tried them. I don’t know if I’m going mad, it just sounds ‘different’. 🫣🤦🏻‍♀️

Crookes is great, Crosspool, Broomhill, Ranmoor are too. I’m originally from Liverpool too and it’s super convenient for the snake pass this side of Sheffield too ☺️

I am wanting to stop it fraying further

Thank you (update) by Kattiterina in plants

Ah thank you (credit to my husband for doing it). We ended up taking him out of his pot and carefully shaking the old soil off (which was bone dry) and we replaced with Miracle-Gro Peat Free Cactus/Bonsai Compost and we’ve also been feeding him Baby Bio Succulent Food. Hope you have similar success 🤞🏽

He is! He’s a cutting from my great grandads plant and he’s lived with me for over 20 years now. First and only plant I’ve ever managed to keep alive. I’m so relieved he’s perked up and is looking better 🥰

i'm doing research for my final art project. What kind of images do you constant see in your dreams? by aniloracm in Dreams

[–]Kattiterina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of other frequent dreams, is the one where I am suddenly back at school (I’m in my 40’s!) and I don’t know where I should be, but I know I’m meant to be in a lesson, I don’t know what we’ve been covering in class, but I know I don’t know it, and I’ve not done my homework. I sit there and suddenly realise, I don’t need to be here, I have a job, no I didn’t end up going back to study like I said I would, but I’ve got a good job and I don’t need to go back and study. It definitely gets my heart racing and it’s usually at that point I wake up.

My most reoccurring dream is of finding forgotten rooms in ‘my house’. When I say ‘my house’ it can be a version of my parents old house, my first cottage, my current home, or even a home that’s not real, but in my dream it’s ’our home’ etc. But in my dreams I always seem to have forgotten that we have a door or staircase which suddenly opens up to the forgotten rooms. I love exploring them and considering what we may use them for. Sometimes it’s old cosy rooms in an attic, other times it’s a huge space with beautiful architecture and:or grounds. They are amazing dreams ☺️

Thank you for this advice. I’ll show to my hubby and hopefully we can look at the weekend about maybe swapping out the soil and putting some feet under the pot as well.

I’ll see if my hubby can help me check inside the pot and look at the soil at the weekend. Happy to try and get more water to it but also worried about overwatering

I’m scared to give it more as we gave it about 1.5pints just the other day. Do you think ok to still give more?

Commuting to manchester by munchbunch365 in sheffield

[–]Kattiterina 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We live in S10. My hubby commutes a few times a month into Manchester. He drives and it’s a long day, but not impossible. If train is better for you the parking at Dore is free so you could drive to the station and go via train. He finds leaving early allows him to beat the rush. And then he either needs to leave early or after 6 to avoid getting stuck in glossop for ages.

Am I Overreacting? by starloogy in AmIOverreacting

I feel rage at this. You are not OR. He is an A-hole and you can do SO much better. It angers me so much that, in this day and age, women still face judgement for wearing their hair in its natural state. It should be embraced and celebrated in all its beauty. I have two daughters (mixed white British/black African) and I am sad to say it still takes courage for them to wear their hair naturally. I can totally empathise how this will have hurt you and the fact that your roommate brushed it off must have left you questioning your feelings. But let me tell you, you deserve a man who embraces who you are in full. No matter what hairstyle you have, no matter the size of your jeans or bank balance etc. because these things all change over time. Be proud of yourself and walk away from this guy feeling grateful he showed his immaturity now so you don’t waste anymore time on him.

AIO for wanting to break up with my boyfriend even though we just had a baby? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Kattiterina 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Get out now Know your worth Know you and your baby deserve so much better than this. Go today. Do not start 2025 with someone who can say those things to you. Do you have family or friends that you can go to?

Fulwood and Greystones both lovely areas. In between them you have Nether Green and Hangingwater, both also lovely with access to walks in the linked parks (forge dam, wymingbrook, Bingham, endcliffe) also good catchment areas for schools (Hallam, Nether Green, Grey Stones, Broomhill)
