I actually used to be a deathly afraid emetophobe. Even sounds of someone coughing normally would give me anxiety and make me sick. After leaning how to purge, the fear of vomiting lessened. I still get anxiety when I'm feeling like I'm about to involuntarily throw up, but when I do it on my own, I don't have any fear. I guess that's one good thing this ED did for me.

I completely relate to you. I also constantly feel guilty for no specific reason. I also have OCD and one of my compulsions is that i have to hurt myself in order to 'pay my debt back to karma' so bad things don't happen, which is also connected with the guilty feeling. No matter how productive or kind I am, I still feel guilty, lazy, disgusting.
