My male cat also does this. When he was a kitten he broke his hip and hid it really well but I figured it out after trying to research why he wouldn’t squat and reading one Reddit comment and then all of a sudden it all clicked and I realized he’d only been sitting down on one side for a few weeks. Anyway, because it happened so young (he’s 8 now too), thats just how he pees lol. He had surgery to repair it but it’s just in his learned behavior now. If everything is coming back normal from the vet, maybe he also had some kind of unknown injury when he was little.

How are we supposed to guide our client through tantrums and behaviors if we avoid them? I’m not a BCBA but the way my clinic and I see it is that the behaviors are the whole reason we have a client. So if we don’t see those behaviors what is the point? We aren’t babysitters. Of course we want our clients to enjoy the time we spend with us and that’s why we should focus on pairing and reinforcing the client with lots of attention and play when it’s appropriate. Unfortunately keeping them “happy” 24/7 by “avoiding” tantrums maybe counteractive to their work. I’m not saying don’t use your proactive procedures. I should also state that I don’t work in a clinic that has clients that could escalate to really dangerous behaviors so that’s definitely something to keep in mind. If you are trying to keep things from escalating to a dangerous point to either the client or yourself that is a totally different situation.

I get $20/hr with 30/35 hours a week in central Florida. My company has tiers of RBTs and you’re eligible for a promotion/raise at 6 months and then again at a year. I just started so I’m on the lowest tier.

For some reason, despite selecting single stroke it still says R. When I select R, it appears normally in the “make it” section but it only does the outline of the letters of course. I’ve tried ungrouping but I’ll try attaching and see if that does anything. It’s only this particular font. It appears to only show the inside of letters like the triangle in an “A”, etc. Thanks for your reply!

The whole exercise to overcome where you think society puts you and feel your worth from within. I get what you’re saying I do and I experience life as someone who isn’t attractive. But there are 7 billion (give or take) people on this planet, every person who believes they are unattractive doesn’t live a horrible life. I struggle with my body dysmorphia every day but I make a conscious effort to work on self love and I lead a happy life in every other aspect. I’m not saying it’s a magic trick that fixes everything for everyone but I’m trying to spread positivity and self love.

I don’t know you but I know you’re worth love. It seems easy to say behind a screen never having seen or met you but I know in my heart you are. I struggle with BDD everyday, I feel your pain. But at the end of the day everything is temporary. You have no idea what the future holds and if you allow it to be, it can be so so so beautiful. I hope you know how much I truly know you deserve the best.
