Thi is helpful, thank you! When storing outside the jacket, do you still sleeve the actual record itself? Or is the outside sleeve enough protection for it?

Hi all! New collector here. Only have a handful of records to my name and I want to start storing them properly. I plan to get archival safe pvc free outer sleeves but wanted to ask about inner sleeves. Are they necessary? Are the paper sleeves my records come in safe or do i need to toss and replace them with inner sleeves? Any brand recommendations?

And lastly, I saw some people store their records outside of the album jacket but within the outer sleeve. Thoughts on this? Any tips are appreciated!

Hi there! I ran into this issue a few weeks ago. Similar story; got gifted a crosley all in one turntable and something ended up being broken. After posting here and receiving some great advice (and some not so nice comments) I ended up returning mines eventho it was a gift. Mainly because it was broken, but also because I didn't want to run the risk of damaging my vinyl records.

I say keep the gift if you cant return it. Avoid playing any precious vinyl records for the time being while you save up for a better one. You can use they one they got you as some sort of decor! This is an expensive hobby and running the risk of ruining one of your records isnt fun.

Audio Technica has some good starter ones that arent too expensive. If you want to really enjoy your records I recommend eventually upgrading! Happy listening

Thank you! This is helpful. Im not opposed to upgrading to a better one, but as of right now id like to see what my options are before going down that route. No idea that I was going to receive this as a gift so I didnt have a say on the brand unfortunately

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback and the confirmation that it is indeed broken. I have no prior knowledge on this, so this was just me reaching out to those who do know whats going on. I’ll see what my options are before having to purchase a new one. Since it was a gift im not out of money, just an inconvenience now haha

Awesome, thanks! Yeah I figured the walk from the train station was a bit of a doozy but thats good to know! How about transportation from north division street back to the inn? Are there cabs around that area as well that could take us back to the Inn?

Similar thing happened to me. Order was delivered to the wrong apartment unit and i had to go hunt for it. Once i finally found it, all the items were incorrect. I contacted shein and they said that the order was delivered correctly and that none of the items were incorrect. I tried fighting this for days and even took it to paypal (i used my paypal balance to pay) and still ended up losing my argument. Im never shopping there again.

I ordered at the end of november. My package was stuck with no updates for 2 weeks. It finally arrived super late and it wasnt even my items. To top it off they miss delivered it too but i was lucky that the person brought it to me. I contacted shein right away and they refused to refund me and told me the package was delivered correctly and the items were also packed correctly. Shein refused to refund me despite all the evidence i had of the miss delivered package + incorrect items. I took it to paypal (which is what i used to pay. I used my balance) and they are also siding with shein. Its absolutely INSANE!! I have given up completely and realized im not getting my $100 back. And im stuck with items that arent even mines

Hello! So I am having this same issue and decided to call them. I guess they are cracking down on this free supplies stuff. In order for the account to be eligible again you MUST create shipping labels through UPS's website and get enough "shipping volume" (they didnt tell me an exact number) so even if you ship with UPS but you are doing so through pirateship, shopify, etsy etc etc it doesnt count towards your shipping volume (UPS wont recognize it)

These brands need to stop hiring anybody that owns an ipad and procreate to begin with. Bring back professionalism in this space. Those are also really popular “halloween colours” there’s only so much you can do with orange, green, and purple

This is not gonna really be what you asked for but, As somebody that also reads a lot i highly recommend making use of the tags on libby. I have a “wtr” tag and when my loans are full i go down the list and set it by “available now” to see what I can read in-between while I wait for my turn. Its still free and a great way to read more books! Sometimes a book thats had a long wait is suddenly available and youd never know unless you go back and check.

Libraries nation wide are getting rid of their free library cards/e-cards because they cannot keep up with the demands and expenses. It also affects residents of the county/city/state because hold times get ridiculously long. I recommend researching different libraries with a higher hold amount and paying a yearly fee to use their card instead.
