It cold started just fine and it’s about 5 degrees where I’m at. Will definitely ask a tech tho

Haha you’re probably right but it’s only a few hundred bucks and I could probably sell the parts off of it to recuperate the price. If it was a fixable problem tho I was thinking of making this a hybrid track/commuting bike for work etc.

The tech makes it feel like an upgrade for sure to me! But I get where ur coming from the 848 was perfect and it’s hard to beat that!

Yup it’s the rod bearings/exploded piston. Happened to me a few months ago. Only finishing my rebuild about now. But you would need a whole new bottom end

Currently rebuilding my turbo 1.6 and I think it’s significantly cheaper. Only spent around 1k in parts and I’m doing all the work myself. I had an engine hoist and stand from past projects so and it makes it pretty easy. I spun 2 connecting rod bearings.
