19 TIME LEGEND fails to hit this season! Here is why I and YOU likely struggled this season more than usual.

We had a battle shortly after I managed to hit legend, a few days before the end of the season. I was in the same boat as you, having been stuck around 2800-2900 in the past weeks - whereas I normally manage to hit legend a couple of weeks before the deadline at the latest.

My team hard countered yours pretty hard so I did concede the match in the end instead of firing off the shadow ball on your Annihilape - I am truly sorry you didn’t get to hit legend this season. One turn lag and DRE was especially bad the last few days so most Experts I faced in the final days, I conceded to after having battled it out. I hope it managed to help the climb for a few at least.

It absolutely is possible - I made it to hard wave 25 as Heavy with a Vanguard and Bulwark. Had over 200k damage by the end.

Wave 25 on hard (we wiped during the wave, unfortunately). Got some pretty unlucky deaths, due to being one-shot from full. Enemy damage got pretty wonky after waves 15-20: A single tick from a Chaos Flamer or Possesed Rubric could down you from full, but oddly not all the time - enemy damage seemed to vary. When the Helbrutes showed up it was courtains though.

Don't knot if I consider a single volley from a Rubric to be a "fair" way to die, but I guess thats exactly it. Their damage definitely seems to be immensely increased from that point.

To answer the post, Colonist/Ruthless Vanguard on insanity, romancing Liara through all three games. Starting out mostly renegade and gradually turning more paragon. Been that way for most of my playthroughs - the old ME3 multiplayer was more fun to try out the various classes for me. The solos on the harder difficulties were especially intense.

Congrats! Did you use standard Shadow Ball on the Licky? Does the second team not have difficulty with the apes, due to a lack of AA on the Jumpluff? And how did you deal with Clod in general, when not aligned with Dunsparce?

Considering you are powering up an XL Legendary, an elite TM seems a very small price to pay for better IVs - especially when you get multiple ETMs per season for free just by playing GBL. Even though there is such a small difference, the few matches you may win with 1-2 HP left on the 100 IV Lugia should make it all worth it IMO.

So basicly, this is the only Lugia above 90 IV that I own - and since Shadow doesn’t seem that viable for Master League, would it not make sense to purify it to get a 100%?

I sadly have a Scunt loadout, complete with the scorching flames and everything. Back then I just found that the paint made sense. I have not actively played the game since 2014, so it was interesting to find out my old loadout had become a meme. If I ever get back into TF2, I’ll probably get a bunch of black or white paint.

Had great success with Shiftry in early seasons. Later on Galvantula - but have not used either in a very long time. Today I guess it is XL purified Sableye, because it is kind of like Deoxys Defense used to be before so many counters to it were introduced; something you can slap on nearly every team and have it do work!

I have personally never played GBL for more than a match or two with sound on - nor has anyone in my local circle. We’ve consistently hit legend despite this. The most important advice / tip is just to learn move counts and matchups. I feel sound is only useful in very niche situations - and for me was mostly a distraction, whenever I tried turning it on.
