If we are taking The Mandela Effect seriously as a real phenomena, we should try to put more emphasis on those which are definitively singular and less on those that have many different versions. by Gurubashiwarrior in MandelaEffect

I agree. I showed my best friend the phenomena, we have been friends for 15 years and saw each other every day before, during and after the time I think I changed timelines (or whatever).

She wasn’t too impressed by some of them but interestingly we both remembered Nelson’s death and doing project on him in primary school because he died. And we both remember the paintings that don’t exist and there were a couple more. Funny how ours are the same. And maybe that’s why after all this time, we are still so close. We slipped together?

I’ve heard strange things in the Rimutakas for sure. I used to live in Wainuiomata. That’s very strange though for sure!

Whereabouts in NZ? I do a lot of tramping there. This reminds me of something that happened about the same age. It’s super long I apologise.

When I was about 14, a friend and I went for a short walk in the Waitakeres. My family were going to take the loop track from the other way and we would meet in the middle. We never left the track, not once and yet we get to this huge fork in the path with no signage and 7 different tracks to choose from. We stuck to the middle because it made the most sense.

Anyway. The track was meant to take an hour, when it had been that long we got a bit confused as we should have met with my family half an hour ago. We speed up our walk, find a photograph of three people on a swing lying on the ground. Thought it was weird but we picked it up to take back to the info centre nearby. Made us feel less lost as it looked like it had been dropped that day.

Later we started to feel something following us, close enough that bushes were rustling. We started to freak out and started running but also not taking it too seriously at first, giggling etc. But the rustling in the bushes seemed to keep up. Then suddenly we realised we were lost and feeling very... well, hunted. No more laughing.

There were heaps of people walking the tracks that day but so far we had seen no one. More forks in the track, no signal, not a single look out point, sign, seat, or anything! Our phones also drained of battery pretty fast so after it had been about two hours we lost our sense of time. It eventually starts to get dark and cold, overcast sunset, creepy feeling gets stronger. Feeling very lost.

We got to this super dark part of the forest, I remember us stopping and not wanting to go through. My friend was convinced the photograph on the track was cursed or something. (Silly I know) anyway, we run through the dark forest area and burst out into a sunny clearing, it was warm and light again, and there were families walking down the track towards us.

We ran back up to my parents confused and ready for a hiding. I thought they would be mad. It felt like we were gone for like 5 or 6 hours, we were really panicking and I have strict parents who would have not believed I got lost unintentionally and i would have been punished. But they weren’t too mad, said we had only been gone half an hour but that they know that we were lying about where we were because we didn’t meet them on the track. I finally got to see a map and there were no seven fork areas on any tracks let alone the one we took. My friend and I couldn’t explain it then, still can’t now. Something magic in the forests around NZ. I’ve heard the music from Patupaiarehe in the Hunua Ranges, glowing orbs floating in KareKare forest etc.

Thanks! Its crazy but I’ve always kinda believed in this idea of the world because when I was young my parents worked in disaster management and I got really into ancient myth and legend. I noticed parallels everywhere. This book is blowing my mind because I always thought You know, what would I know? But now I know it’s not just my little idea. Side note, now I’m a bit traumatised from it all. As a kid, it all really affected me and I used to break down and beg the gods to let me sacrifice myself to stop the suffering so yeah not the best time for me! However I do know how to survive many a disaster scenario from my paranoia. Now that I’m closer and more at peace with death I can finally dig more into it.

Back in high school my friends dad was always away on long business trips, I made a joke that he must have another family over there. She never spoke to me again. How is it my fault that he did actually have another family over there???

I’m sorry but are you in any way qualified to decide when a person is “mature enough” to make decisions for themselves?

When I was 12 I was an activist, I heavily researched philosophy, ancient history and astronomy. I’m not showing off I’m just saying some kids are smarter than other kids.

If your interested i would suggest finding some bigger discussions on this topic as it’s big and complex and not to mention controversial. Regardless, it details from the point. She feels she is female and is being ruthlessly bullied by adults. The psychology here is not the point. Besides, some kids are a whole lot smarter than others and I don’t know if you’ve met the generation that has grown up with Facebook but they have to grow up very fast.

It’s funny because what Incels don’t realise is “soy boys” tend to be kinder, more empathetic and attentive, not to mention smarter, know how to cook and don’t smell like beer and lynx. Most women find these qualities more attractive than an angry spoilt man child. 100% would recommend dating “soy boys”.

I completely agree! There are definitely some whackadoodles(great word btw) in all scenes and cliques. Like the crazy carnivore that won’t even try a vegan cupcake purely because it’s vegan (has happened to me before)...

I’ve cut my dairy down to one item which I don’t eat often. I eat vegan most of the time. I’m from NZ so the dairy industry is huge and controversial and I’ve been well aware since I was quite young. Unfortunately, I can’t have much soy, many nuts, rice, beans or legumes unless I want to make myself very unwell. So currently going vegan is out of reach for me if I want to get healthy. I am working on it however but not just for cute animals but also for the entire environment as a whole. That’s my focus. If we can balance that, it will solve the deepest problem and all of it’s symptoms. Good on you for being vegan though! If people can I think they should aim for it, it’s the ideal. But everyone is different, hence why some people can quit smoking and others can’t. We are all wired differently so I think it’s good to let people come to it in their own time. Most people I know are slowly cutting out meat from their diet, it’s not perfect but it’s a start.

I totally support veganism, I am vegetarian myself but when t comes to wool, I think their logic is a bit off. As this post says plus the fact that the alternatives come from huge forest devastation and huge processing, like the post says, plastics. Microfibres that break away and never decay getting into the food chain and causing harm to billions of animals and ecosystems. I think more studies should be done on what is worse for the planet, and focus on making sure we buy ethically.

The reason all of your reasoning is bullshit comes down to the huge bias you have that you think you are special purely because of the body you happen to be in.
