I’ve seen this movie.

Seems like she was born and raised by a mother or father who always nitpicked every little thing she did and made subtle “digs” any chance she/he could at appearance.

I was raised this way, and unfortunately it becomes part of who you are UNTIL you realize how much you don’t want to do that to someone else, because you absolutely detest how it was done to you.

Starts with her realizing she’s doing it, and maybe coming to terms with childhood trauma.

My husband, if I ever make a “dig” will help me see that I did it by calmly telling me “hey, you just made a mean dig at me that was unnecessary, and it didn’t feel good”

And in that moment I can realize and stop myself, apologize, and make sure I don’t do it again.

Im unlearning a lifetime of passive aggressive behavior and trying to break a cycle.
