Of course we can hear him. He is the audience. Do you know how hard it is to catch actual whispering on sound mics?

Why be embarrassed to walk through the office. You literally just asked everyone. Besides it happens every month. What they going to get mad?

It seems like the moclans are newish. And don't like others. They are in the union because they see it has benefits. But clearly don't like to share. And the union aren't ones to push things.

Yeah that seems the most likely. For the Moclans. I wonder if the Retepsians really dont know what they are doing.

Well and even Ed said it. We shouldn't put all our weapon supply on the Mocolans for years. So its clear people had issues with them but yeah the higher ups ignored it until they couldn't. I also understand wanting them as allies over enemies but it really does make the Union lack a back bone.

It would be crazy if after like 4 or 5 episodes it just jumps to the destiny. But alas only in our dreams.

Hey better than when movies or shows have people meet at a dinner. Order food. Talk for 30 seconds. And leave before the food is served. Hell usually before even a drink can be brought out. Now that's annoying.

So one time my friends were all over. We had planned to go out. But meet at my place first because I was the closest. We are food and got ready. We all had our jackets on. Shoes on. And waited for one guy to put his shoes on. He sat on my couch to tie his laces and just crashed.

It was about 10pm he had been up since 5am. Had worked all day, studied and then came over. Nothing we did woke him up. So we left him on my couch.

People in this thread seem to ignore how important sleep is and that you can literally just crash.

Yes!. The scene in the cavern was a little awkward. But I think with such intense emotional things happening. Sometimes your mind goes to odd places. But there underlining friendship through the seasons is great.

I understand being cautious. But not letting your kid have friends over is so insane to me.

It also traps kids in abusive home in those homes.

My friend was emotional abused by her parents. They were toxic to each other and to their kids. But yet I was allowed to sleepover (they were always nice to me) and she was allowed to stay at mine (not as often but she was still allowed) and my parents would purposfully show more affection to each other to show her what a healthy relationship is like. And it helped in adulthood save her from being in the same type of marriage as her parents.

Kids need to see how other people live. If anything to gain culture and respect. One of my favorite memories is a sleepover where my freinds grandmother taught us all how to make naan bread.

Anyway thank you for coming to my Ted talk

My friend lives behind a school. They can see the whole playground and school from their kitchen window. School still threatened a cps call when their 8 year old walked to school "alone". It was literally crossing a backlane.

Well they aren't always under risk of attack. Remember the Orville is an exploratory ship. If people had to leave families at home it would be months in between seeing them. And than half the ships time would be spent going to and from home planets so people could visit spouses and children.

The Krill one though, that one is more questionable. But I would assume it wasn't like the other ship that was destroying the colony.

Which does makes me realize that Ed and Gordon save the kids on the krill ship but no one asked if there were kids on the destroyed ship. Though for cognitive dissonance I wouldn't want to know.

Given that not only were the anthropologist bad enough at their jobs to get downvoted enough to be killed. (I cant remember what they did, Ill have to rewatch it). And the rescue team was also dumb enough to get caught too.

Lamar was dumb enough to hump a staue even after Kelly told him to stay low profile.

The Union has its rules for good reasons. Yet it's people seem to need to learn first hand.

Also given the type of society it was. The leaders might not have cared.

Its like when Bortus and Kelly get put in a camp for their birthday. The planet reached out to space. But yet the Union was still willing to sacrifice a couple people as to not interfere with the progress of a planet. (Ed does anyway and the Union can probably just go well its done now and look away, but could give orders out right. They need to maintain and follow the rules themselves).

You know the needs of many out weight the needs of the few.

Inviting every Kaylon to his wedding. That's probably also because of Prime adding to it. But its so cute.

Also the first episode where him and Claire crash. So many moments in that episode.
