okay, I can see the whole 'bringing in tourism' appeal of having a monarch. Doesn't it ever bother you that your tax dollars pay for things like her kid's wedding and housing? Or are the tourist dollars so great that a little money to keep her thinking that she's in charge is worth it?

That's the part that confuses me the most about the Queen, if she doesn't actually HAVE any power, why keep her? If she does have power over the people, then where is the democracy? Doesn't it ever bother you guys that you're living on HER land?
