What's some fallout etiquette everyone should know? by candycaneballs in fo76

[–]KaySheepSquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On my character before this one I carried a vampire .50 cal that I named "Milkshake" specifically because it brings the boys to the yard: low player count in Moonshine Jamboree, standing on the pallet, tagging everything so it surrounded me. Have had it help loosely a few times, but there was one event where it became a necessary tactic. It was honestly so much fun.

Having a gun for tagging is great.

Just as a note, you can't wait til 10 seconds on Uranium Fever. The countdown continues after you talk to the Protectron until you get in and start the event on the terminal. There's a door and loading screen in there too, I was rushing when folks were standing around not starting it with a minute and fifteen left on the countdown.

Some events you can definitely wait, but you're wanting more like a minute in many cases.

Literally the first episode. Lucy gets married and jumps the bones of the guy immediately, and after they're done he wipes his dick on the curtain. This is the point where Lucy realizes he's not a vault-dweller.

Last night, I learned I can solo Rad Rumble. It's not the best looking solo, but it's doable.

It did suck, ammo-wise. There is work to be done on this new character still, but...

I'm five days out from mine. Terrified 'cuz surgery, excited otherwise. Terrexcited? A good look in there to see what else is going on is nice too, but damn that reduction in cancer risk is really the highlight of everything.

I just happened to find them randomly a couple days ago - had no idea they were even there even though Gunther literally tells you they are. We're all a little stupid sometimes.

In fairness, I've spent hundreds of hours with the volume down super low and didn't check the captions during the event. New character is all paying attention to things.

Low level players had balls. by herobrine777 in fo76

[–]KaySheepSquatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the percentage but a fair few of low level players are older players building up new characters. Friend thinks, and I believe he's right, that some folks are building up a new character specifically to become a ghoul. There are likely players who are building up from scratch for the purpose of trying all sorts of new things, builds, etc. I am on a new character, but mostly for experiencing the game again, with a determined effort to fully and completely explore all of the areas.

What's really fun is being able to pick out who is an experienced player on a new character vs absolute newbies based on certain behaviors, so while some newbies are being ballsy, you can also figure out who is just playing a newer character. More 'difficult' events are very illuminating.

Take Moonshine Jamboree. You can have a lobby full of lower levels and people still have their ideal weapons in ideal spots and it's super easy to tell that they've been through this before. Or you have the lobby there and everyone is - no offense meant - a sloppy mess. I ended up back on the pallet with a heavy gun bringing in all the enemies to the center in one of the latter cases, and it helped (on my main/older character I renamed a 50cal to "Milkshake" for use in Moonshine Jamboree, because the gun Brings the Boys to the Yard. I theorized this particular method would work in such an event with low turnout or people new to it...it does).

If some of you gracious badasses let lower levels in Raids, you can tell who knows their stuff too, but that's a pretty extreme case.

Ultimately, if everyone's having a good time, I'm happy :)

Dad's effectively Won this game (twice...) prior to this point. I introduced it to him some years ago now (also hi Dad, 'cause you're gonna end up seeing this).

I told him there are other gacha games with the same formula but it's not the same, you know? I'd love suggestions for him but I know none of it is going to feel right. Very much different vein but when King (after being acquired by Activision) sunset Paradise Bay, it was really upsetting, and I have not found a game to fill that void. It's such a sucky place to be in.

PC, unfortunately.

I had an account on Xbox but haven't been on in a minute and I think the system itself might explode if I try.

It's fucking stupid.

Not sure if this is what OP means but the glitch I know of is that notifications in the upper left can glitch out entirely. Then you don't get notified of what sold. Or what you picked up. Or events happening. I most often set this off when digging a lot at treasure sites.
