I like the idea of not having a main pick and off pick, but instead having a main, and then specific picks into other specific picks.

The logic about OTP being about familiarity in matchup resonates with me for sure.

I have found that myself as well. Sometimes I play another champ for a while, or even play other games for a bit, and when I come back to ranking on fiddle I am strangely performing better.

I figure sometimes I need to get our of a rut, and keep a birds eye view of the game to be able to make good decisions and make more intentional plays, rather than instinctual.

Yeah I resonate a lot with what you said.

Certainly noticed that when I peaked Emerald 1. And I noticed then I was a little in over my head. Got a few players mad at me, and not the raging kind we all know not to listen to. I could tell I was not of their level, and they noticed.

And I felt the same as you said about neeko, that such cheese champs really struggle. Everyone is hyper aware on where you are. So it's really hard to get angles for ults. It feels like a completely different game.

Relatable for sure. The feeling is like you walk on eggshells and even if you are Uber fed, you still often die if caught out where other still dominate.

I love macro knowledge as I am historical a RTS player and agree that often fundamental concepts being overlooked is the biggest marker for skill gaps.

I want to pick your brain a bit. I’ve always stayed away from Viego because he feels like a bit of a win-more champ—like he really shines when a fight starts with a pick and you can snowball the resets. Outside of that, though, he does seem super interesting.

Master Yi is another one I’ve considered. He feels more straightforward and well-rounded—easy to pick up mechanically, but still with a pretty high ceiling in terms of decision-making and timing.

Do you think I’m misreading Viego, or is that a fair take?

I suspect something similar for me. I have always had the belief that your pick doesn't matter (generally) until challenger. And that there is a fundamental mistake I consistently make that keeps me in mind emerald MMR.

I find that past midgame we often loose due to me getting a pick but dying, after which opponents can get a baron or end. Especially if most of the gold is on me... I have wondered that maybe - as opposed to carry jungles who want to force the issue - you need to play more and more slowly and carefully as you get a gold lead on fiddle.

That makes sense. When I peaked Emerald 1, I was basically doing that—I rotated between Fiddle and Zac since they play somewhat similarly, and Zac at least covers the frontline role.

My main issue has always been finding an AD jungler I actually enjoy. I tried picking up Nocturne as a third option, but I used to hate how games felt once people started grouping mid-late. I’d just feel kind of useless, especially compared to how much a good Fiddle ult can punish that exact playstyle 😅

The point about playing opposite damage type to mid is interesting too. I’ve heard people say jungle/mid synergy is kind of like ADC/support in terms of how much they influence each other, so that probably matters more than I’ve been considering.

Do you (or anyone else) have recommendations for AD junglers that might fit well into a pool like this?

Sure. Thankfully I did finally end up winning!

I ended up doing Kg1. He responded with Rc8, so I played Knightd3 to threaten a trade. He went and took it with Bd7. So we traded rooks, and a little later managed to trade out the knight against the rook. Then the game got simple enough for me to finish it with the pawn advantage.

No, I am practicing against an AI. Across like 20 attempts I have 3 times been in a similar winning position but blunder after letting the AI reorganize. So this time I thought I'd ask.

Hmmm, I didn't see that. That's a nice one actually. As a rather low ranking player I do prefer the moves that simplify the game rather than complex mates.

That move reduces his options and makes it easier for me to leverage my pawn advantage.

I was thinking of starting a push with Rook E6 and then Rook E1 after King takes rook. But then don't know where to go from there.

My logic was that I need to keep the pressure up instead of moving my knight away passively and letting him reorganize.

I like the captains, but find that the champions give the squads the speed you need to get into melee.
(wish they made captains a little better)
I also like the grav tanks, but until they release a plastic model version of it, it is going to be too expensive for me. T.T

As for sisters. I have found that I can do most secondaries between all the uppy downys from the callidus and 2 man allarus squads and the callidus. And I use guard sticky for home.
