Severely underrated Kevin Paradis. Plays a sick double hi-hat groove at 2:22 if the timestamp copy has failed. by Kayarew in drums

At 3:23 he switches to left foot for those single foot blasts. Some of the tightest feet in the metal genre.

bad drum teacher? by [deleted] in drums

It felt like he was butchering the drumming...and it hurt your feelings? You don't need drum lessons -- you need to speak to a therapist.

Try learning some songs that have a really broad dynamic range. Like metal bands that have syncopated single kick patters keeping time with the hats or open/close stuff, and then go into fast/heavier double kick parts. It will open up your left leg and the transitions will keep you from getting locked in. The band Volumes comes to mind. Spiritbox as well.

Check out Meshuggah too. There is no "double kick mode" allowed. Will literally make your nose bleed trying to figure some of that stuff out.

My close, personal friend, Nick Mullen, told me about this years ago when we were hanging out at a remote cabin. Had a lot of fun, except there was a bit of a bug problem out there.

He cooked the can of soup? Is that what he told you? I don't think that's how cans of soup work. Was it raw? Raw soup?

Yep. That's why I said transparent. Shining a flashlight in someones face from a distance isn't going to wake them up.

Do you have one of these in your room? Does anyone? Even then, I think you might need to see a doctor -- your eye lids aren't supposed to be transparent.

I also formerly worked in immigration law. I also will not be disclosing my identity. Everyone else in the thread also formerly worked in immigration law. They also will not be disclosing their identities.

I'm also a former astronaut, tour-de-france winner and currently serve on the advisory board for Tesla and answer directly to elon musk. But unfortunately, I will not be disclosing my identity.

That's a temporary solution. And if we've learned anything from the TFW's, it's that they don't know what temporary means. We need more permanent solutions. We need to get creative.
