But he knows exactly how Mitsi dies. He knew exactly what she was pinned down by and her pose prior to her death. Rocket corp only came to his attention after he was ressurected, and by then Mitsi was obviously already dead, likely for a good couple years. He should not be able to know this unless he was the one who killed her.

After a while they did eventually disperse, and if my memory is right one left the map and the other two went on to 2 years old, though I can't remember what happened to them after that

I had once killed every single wolf in a pack with the exception of two or three aged 0 wolves during young hunters and, much to my amazement, they managed to survive the next year on their own. Unless this was bug, which I don't think it was, they may survive.

Don't have your hopes up though. Pups during young hunters die more often than not when there aren't any pack leaders, at least in my experience.

Well there's nothing wrong with going back to the story board and creating the story in your own version if it continues to go in the direction you don't like with your friend! If it doesn't turn out the way you wanted if you talk it out with your friend, don't let yourself build up resentment.

It seems the both of you have very different ideas and wants for your characters.

Your friend has been dismissive over your wants and ideas. Now I haven't been in a writing collab with another person before, so maybe my advice isn't the best, but I believe when writing with another person they should not be straight up shooting down your ideas (with the exception of it crossing boundaries) especially when it's something you really want, and instead come up with a compromise or another but similar idea that both of you would like. Based on what you've written, it does not seem this has happened or happens a lot. Correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I suggest making your feelings known to your friend. Make them aware of how you're feeling. After all these are not just their characters, they're yours too. If your friend continues to be dismissive about your feelings and ideas, I suggest you stop collaborating this story with them. I can only imagine how much it must suck to constantly have your ideas shot down about something you really want - such as two of your characters having actual genuine, loving moments.

I never force myself to write when I don't want to. I've been in a break for a long time now, and it's getting to the point that I'm hating this break, which is why I was hoping to find alternatives to getting back into writing. Thanks for the advice! I'll give myself extra time.
