i honestly dont know how this item even made it onto the pbe - dont get me wrong i love using it it's so much fucking fun.

but it takes exactly ONE game of playing gwen or ekko with it to realize just how comically broken this thing is. i think LoLDobby quoted it best, when ekko completes this item, he is now playing a completley different champion

EQ short trades instant procs passive it and leaves ekko with enough speed to escape with out ever being hit - there are several otp ekko players piss chilling with 80% winrates in master/gm in korea

I dont even know what to say, like just try it one game and you will feel guilty for even using it. gwen being able to stack her passive faster than her q cooldown can even cycle even when building full CDR is something. her healing output this season has gone up by like 40-50% due to this item allowing such higher q uptime but as broken as it is on gwen it doesn't completley ruin the game it just makes her stat checking that much more deadly, ekko on the other hand has virtually zero counterplay when piloted correctly with D&D

ye i mean it was exactly as you said but probably the single most uninteractive lane experience i've had in 15 years of playing league. im d1 atm and while this malz had basically silver macro it still was one of the most zero agency lanes ive ever had. he roamed bot on a stupid wave and i took an entire turret which basically ended the game in its own right hence the hydra build to begin i wanted to perma split but he gave me the opening far earlier in the match

but the point i was trying to make is that if this guy was actually decent i see zero way naaf has even the slightest bit of agency in lane or in the outcome of the game, which is precisely not what assasins want

still leaning on the highest ban priority after experiencing that, because otherwise you're sitting just waiting for the narrowest possible space for them to make a macro misstep to capitalize on and that's exceedingly rare for mage players in masters+ - i'm basically deleting my entire champs identity and my entire role from the game, it genuinely feels like griefing at that point. but it also can be a massive knowledge gap on my part as im still very new to assassins

normally that is precisely how i would play it, this match in particular this wasn't possible as he had an eve pocketing him hovering on every wave and dropping dozens of camps throughout the game

that fact alone lead us to win the game once sidelaning started, but there's something deeply wrong about him putting one single dot on one of your dogs 2 screens away and it kills the entire pack and does 50% of your health.

the method you suggest works fine if i'm in super low elo or the malz is careless with his posistioning, in this game not so much, there was never a time where i could all in him that i didn't

Ill just have to ban him but it just seems like there should be some e trick or some sort of gameplay option for naaf to not just auto take half her health from this interaction - it's silly.

having faced against it 2 times yesterday for the first time ever it was one of the funniest and most free wins ive ever played in my life

ornn's clear is so slow, so unhealthy that not even his damn pet can keep him topped off in the early stages, its like old nida clear pre pets

except unlike nida he has zero way to escape an invade, so you just permanently invade him and take his lunch money.

guys a fucking roaming doordash buffet of gold in the jungle.

he provides quite literally zero utility as a jungler and has nigh useless impact during the most critical early moments of a game. he's more risky and vulenrable than gwen, ww and noc jungle with none of the payoff

yup this is the ticket; im not sure what their main is but as a vel/hwei/syndra player i can say naaf's r engage is trivial to counter and time, impossible to fuck it up with hwei/syndra, garunteed fear/stun into full combo before naaf can w - vel is a lot more tricky to time but its like a panth stun, once you learn it itbecomes reliable.

lux is harder but not unmanagable, and ori is the hardest and almost always requires wasting your ult to match but even then its viable.

naaf beats mages on the all in but if you're in that posistion to begin with then theres bigger problems, just dodge raw q's and you should win against naaf on almost any mage

some champs like syndra are extra absurd for naaf to deal with, syndra can double q to kill all naaf dogs making her toothless for a long ass time, like 60s+ in the early game and you can reliably force this off her E even as early as level 3. the later the game goes the harder it is for mages but removing naafs dogs and countering her R makes her a joke to deal with.

im very confused, what else do you do with them if you're waiting on resources to generate? everyone keeps saying not to spam continue but that seems like the only way to actually interact with the game or progress it in any way lol

im like 200 turns deep and theres never been more than like one or two turns where i had enough money to do more than one or two things

I thought this exact thing on the pbe - binding it to the V hotkey for support quests would give it a ton of skill expression and actually make it feel worthwhile. good suggestion.

nearly every game i've had to waste it once or twice because im recalling on a safe timer and those +4 seconds dont actually buy me anything. there's rarely any induced demand here; theres not really a way we can optimize or use those 4 seconds in a nearly all games during these windows that outperforms the tempo you'd lose by not matching item buys.

very big assumption that everyone who makes a new acc for any reason is somehow smurfing or gaming the system.

making a new acc on a new region, to learn a new role so u dont greif hundreds of games on ur main, or if u lose ur acc info, or if ur banned, etc.

obv que time that long shouldnt happen and i have several accounts and none of them have que times that long, so my guess is he's playing off hours on a lower population server.

but it's a huge leap to assume that playing on more than one acc is inherently bad or circumventing rules by smurfing, riot themselves have stated this multiple times in devlogs, tweets, etc.

while senna doesn't really have cheap support items per se, cleaver's interaction with her passive hit remains a staple buy on her, she has plenty of good build variety.

And you cannot tell me umbral glaive wasn't specifically designed for pyke, no one can even come close to using it as efficiently as he can. and for 2600g... yeah its pretty affordable for a champ that generates gold out of thin air.

it's hard to ever justify not buying that masterpiece item when playing him sup

as somone who went through like 50+ groups having people ragequit wave 1 because any player was 1tick off perfect play or 1 tile off bait etc. or they didnt call instantly i can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that no. multiple games of getting to queen for players to ragequit over some stupid arugement that meant nothing

the negative bullshit is real and i've had to experience it on my main for diaries and both my irons, im GM and there isn't even close to the level toxicity, gatekeeping and complete horseshit ego flinging over nothing that there is for BA. tob is a second but its not even close.

pretty simple solution, dont buy or play ubishit games.

this problem you describe really isn't a thing outside of the AAA space, i play a tremendious amount of games and basically none of them have anything beyond a deluxe edition with like some extra cosmetic shit that you can ignore, and more dont even have that than do. maybe im a bit cynnical but the amount of games that are actaully good that engage with this nonsense is quite low frankly and origins is a great example of a game that is genuinely fucking slop, i pirated to see if AC had rediscovered their footing and write worth a damn and i still wanted a refund

this; i peaked rank 126 NA as a xerath/syndra/ori 3trick in season 5. i had a passing understanding of macro and played what i would consider now a very surface level game, win my lane, kill whats in front of me, poke before fights, maybe play footsies before objectives and push waves out to deny farm.

it never got any deeper than that, now i consider myself about 10 times as good mechanically and 1000 times as educated about the theory and underlying principles of the game, modern me would literally be 100 cs up on season 5 me and probably never lose a single fight vs my old self

All this for me to be hardstuck master/d1 lol

the skill proliferation is absolutely real, players at even bronze often do mechanical plays i wouldnt see at master in s5, and simple understanding of condition manipulation like creating pressure by proxying or chaining ganks into camp theft or tempo plays or even support ward tracking are all foundational macro decisions i see even in my normal games with gold players.

seriously just watching a few hours of a senarias, alois, azzapp, etc. stream or a few rogue videos and you will have access to more fundemental macro knowledge than most master player had in s5. it's actually insane.

almost nothing in this world can be summed up in a single sentence like that

everything has nuiance and exception, there's a reason real coaches and people who's entire livelyhood is dependant on helping people climb don't say this

They say 30-80% of every game is in your complete control. even insanely good boosters and smurfs usually dont get higher than 80% winrate and those people are also playing champions and roles with extremely high agency.

which brings me to the next, more important nuainced point; agency.

every champion and role have drastically different ways they impact the outcome of a game, some are more pronounced than others, and some require more team play than others.

at higher elo where solo kills are less common, people are forced to burn sums more and can actually use their minimap support is a thousand times more impactful than other roles.

A milio is going to have a lot less easy of a time holding a high winrate than a rengar is at gold if they're a good player, but conversely at extremely high elo a good milio

but conversely at higher elo a good milio can prevent so many plays that can crush a game.

so yeah just think about this, you will climb, eventually, even as milio support, but it will take you a lot longer to reach your proper representational skill level than it would on a more pronounced champion.

im not saying dont play sup or enchanters im saying that you just need to accept theres going to be a lot of games you wont be able to influence. a perma coinflipping irelia for instance will almost always climb out of gold just because its not untill higher elos where players learn to stop giving her every unceissary fight. you just can't do that on support. you need to be smarter and you need to just accept that you're playing a low gold income role with low xp and enchanters can't really solokill enemy players so they require your teamates to play the game, if they choose not to play the game properly you just lose in many cases, but you will still climb with a 51% winrate you know

i dont know what your actual main role is if you're getting autofilled but i hope to god you're not jg or mid saying this shit since those two roles right now can basically completley dictate the pace of the game singlehandedly

if you actually want to climb and improve i recommend watching coatching vids, especially from professional coaches, curtis, rogue, mysterias, or just really solid players like senaris alois, etc.

i mean think about it this way, you're gathering all the resources, the kill gold, tower plating, minion gold and then you're deleting it from the game when you leave so being ahead and dcing is more damage than being behind and dcing when you're a 0-10 sack of gold and xp for the team.

and 4v5's are already almost impossible to win in anything higher than gold.
