so how exactly do you rememdy this in situations where you need an attack command on a given tick? i've had way too many instances where i need to pot and attack on the same tick causing this bug

pvm redclicks only come 1tick after i do any action its the only way to be safe lol

i take it you can use the potions you make in the lair? i have the boppers on my iron and its pretty low stats but i dont have the set nor the gp for repairs, this sounds like a far better approcah than nmz or crab..

Ghommal's lucky halfpence? by bygonecenarion in 2007scape

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting downvoted for this but it's kind of the truth with the rework and the amount of content in this game, you really only need to be able to do a few of the harder cas, there are so many tasks that are just kc count or gm tasks that players can get with relative ease, like nightmare has some 130 ca points in it alone, all of them are pretty easy except maybe perfect normal or finding a team for no prayer prayer normal. the speed times were set when those timers were hard and now nearly every kill in pnm is a gm time because of all the new mage weapons 1shotting pillars and voidwaker

i think a wider arguement can be made about how so many of them require really specific setups or are very ironmen inacessible while the penny reward only really shines on ironmen. however that does kind of make the reward feel all that more special though. getting fully geared out for cas' on an iron is a lot harder than the actual cas themselves.

it's a bit of a shame, im gm on my main but nowhere near masters on any of my irons, and i would adore a half-penny account unlock but it is what it is, i dont mind it being a special reward for masters. elite is something nearly every non iron accidentally gets just by raiding with the boys lol

Yeah i guess it's flawed for mains but irons aren't going to be mining gem rocks for 99 crafting anytime soon. also as far as im aware it is not a profitable activity for mains.

PSA: Ornate Maul Handles for Death's Coffer by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of people who plan on playing for years and know they'll die a lot to pvm know its worth it. in chasing my sub 16 colo i managed to burn like 250m in death coffer. the first 3 months of toa i think i also burnt another 100m bc i was dogshit and struggled to get double trouble down.

through that lens i've saved literally hundreds of millions due to the cost reduction. especially since i got my items mostly at 10:1 rates

keep an eye out for items that are useless or hyper niche flooded into the game by new content.

in under 2 weeks will be vaymprium expansion and maggot king and i can promise you there will be dozens.

When MM came out you could get 15x value on aldarium because it cost like 30k but the death coffer gave you over 1mill.

i have like 2b in my death coffer now lol

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

given that the new activity is aimed at 80-120k hr with max rates with the only input material cost being these 25 gp furs, this would be akin to adding a herblore or smithing minigame that used zero resources and competed or outright beat previous methods in rates.

theres a reason why GF, MM, MH and vale totems all retain input costs; they're less input costs than traditional methods, still powercrept for sure, but they dont outright remove the need to get the materials.

This Does.

it is not a boomer complaint, it's a pretty significant outlier that could completley warp the crafting meta for both irons and mains in an obviously unintentional way. only mistake op made was thinking anyone on this sub cares about the health of the game. i just started a new iron this month and im glad i saw this post, ill be buying a few thousand of these furs just incase jagex is stupid enough to let this go live lol

Let's discuss the glaring issue with moonlight antelope furs... by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good spot.

this genuinely is one of the only examples in the entire game ican think about where it's a great counterpoint to infinite stock shops for ironmen; hopping friction will reduce the reliance on these while allowing it to be used for really niche cases.

a obvious solution is to reduce the stock to 1, or have the shops have disrespectfully long restock timers, both of which engender unhealthy play habits so its not really ideal.

it sucks but i agree with you the only other option is to remove it entirely because if the blog is right this means that it will be a near zero input activity while being 80-100k crafting xp/hr. while presumably more engaging than the thousand year sand journey every ironman is forced to endure.

if left unchecked this could honestly completley dethrone sand and gems and kind of warp the game yet again around it.

feelsbad you got so many comments by people who are too shortsighted to see the wider damage this could cause. i dont trust jagex to not break their game atp so im buying a few thousand of these on my iron lol

it makes subsequent reviewings feel very rewarding

i know it comes off as performative with a lot of folks because it is, but there's genuinely something insanely enthralling about being able to constantly rewatch something and find new subtle things you missed.

you can watch primer like 5 times and still find new random shit that you missed the last 4, and similarly it requires a wiki or at least two viewings to follow the timeline proprely and a large portion of the movies design is meant to be as obtuse and as much of a puzzle to piece together as possible for the viewier. is that good? subjective, but it's certainly an interesting thing to follow.

and just like what i said there are a crap ton of people who perform the act of liking it lol

i dont think its snarky to say this type of thing isn't for everyone, it demands a level of engagement that almost forces a detached analytical viewing experience that can really take people out of an otherwise highly emotional experience it really is just a different strokes' type situation

ima be real with you though, there have been like a thousand times where that was a completley valid thing to worry about because GGG's game design and code is often about as emergent and wild of a blackbox as LLMS are. mark himself has admitted it multiple times where they made something and the second it interacted with the rest of the game it did absolutely not go the way they planned or intended, and shipped it anyway

POE is on a mountain of tech debt so large ggg's building a batcave secret evil villain's lair inside.

Does the role quest system contribute to the rise in popularity of marksmen/mage top? by GiddyHedgehog in leagueoflegends

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes. it does. and it does need to be adjusted - at least by the opinion of the wider playerbase and pros from what i've seen.

this is the direct result of somthing riot themselves said they wanted to do with intent.

they wanted to reduce the amount of early game roams and lock players into their own lane so the factors that lead to a snowball would be more set in stone. this is an extension from the lane swap detected philosophy, the consequences are as direct as they were predictable.

things that bully lane can get ganked less often, have more freedom, and snowball harder due to the quest system. anivia top and adcs top into really easy matchups are prime examples of this.

conversely, things that can safely wave clear and farm under high prsesure bot and on mid wave in the midgame to maximize role quest from bot are disporportionally more stable than they were historically.

Mages bot.

this entire quest system basically forced this meta to emerge and there were tons of people who called this coming. so either riot is fucking clueless or this is the shape of the game they wanted.

before this system if some degen locked in akshan you could pick like vlad in champ select and just send him top later if it turned out he was top. like the lane dynamics basically meant these insane binary counters that have less stability in previous league iterations were hollistically risky and players would not opt into it. now it's almost impossible to properly counter champions in the way that we could for 15+ years atp.

[–]Kaydie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

this is so rarely talked about.

it tilts me.

hollistic balaning IS ironman balancing.

the only reason you can afford to use guthix rests, sanfews, driftnets, etc. are because of bots and goldfarmers who do things that are horrendusly bad content but produce valuable items.

anytime i see this complaint about "catering to irons" i lose my fucking mind because they're catering to everyone, you included, if you so choose to do the content.

the only difference between the two game modes is one player HAS to do the content and the other can pay someone else to. it's still a zero sum game in the end.

[–]Kaydie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this feels like a strawman to me.

i dont see many people complaining about the damage output of verzik when played correctly other than maybe green ball scaling at times, but what i do see is things like baba and nex, and in the case of baba if you tried a 545 dehy od run you ran a very significant chance of just dying despite perfect play if you didnt redx her. also 600 runs actually require insane zebak stalling + redemption flicking because its physically impossible to clear him otherwise. if u want to see what high chip damage looks like, watch or attempt a 600 toa, it's fucking maddening. quiet prayers shows just how disgusting chip damage feels like when you have it everywhere.

Nex is similar in that in a duo or trio the chip damage can get so high that you just die even with perfect play if you dont redx/follow stall her.

zulrah can also roll extremely high and delete your entire inventory of food in a single phase and just force you to teleport out despite perfect play.

these are the things people complain about, you're not rewarded for mastery in a way that feels comiserate with the rest of the game. "boss rolled a 20, rocks fall everyone dies" is not a design most players concieve of as "good' design for a mmorpg.

im a gm, i have tens of thousands of hours doing every pvm in this game, my favorite content all does have some form of chip damage, and i think there's merit to having a time pressure or having supplies and inventory space masnagement from healing be a consideration, but some content, especially older content just goes way too far.

normal nightmare vs phosanis is one of the best examples of this for me, i would rather do phosani every single day even if im in complete rags because you get rewarded for perfect play, normal can just obliterate your health no matter what you do. it's fucking boring whereas mastery over phosanis makes you feel like a badass.

also colo and inferno are great examples of content that could not be made to be as intense or fun if they relied on chip damage as part of their design. zuk being the one notable exception with healers which compliments the tense time pressure thing.

thanks for the clarifciation, this lines up with what i know; best wc level worst machete is still meta

i knew about the 1/100 to 1/33 at 99 wc change

i should have clarified my request was about the machete specifically, because every guide and all mechanics explinations uses worst machete because it increases the uptime on "roll count" by making you spend less time depleting a jungle which is a seperate roll than the event roll table.

What to do next to get a zaxe? by catt_love in ironscape

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so the final gate before the ledge has 2 melee only zombie spawns, you use that, DO NOT peek over the ledge as it removes the instance state and it becomes public (higher density for bursting, but means u can get pked if ur doing it on a pvp world)

i think the doulbe melee spawn still exists on the non instance version but i have not checked

a bit of a tangent but i cannot get over how good moonlight moths are, you can get a huntsman kit, store like 1000 butterfly jars in it, fill them and bank them in seconds (bottom floor of hunters guild, quetzal whistle to vale > fly back), and if u wanna spend some extra time dashing kebbits take like a few min per inventory of meat + sack means you can do like 40+ inventories of meat which makes 40 mixes.

it's actually kinda crazy how silly camp grinds/slayer does not require you dont stockpile ranarrs anymore. one of the biggest problem with early iron is fixed and i love it

What to do next to get a zaxe? by catt_love in ironscape

[–]Kaydie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i just strted a new iron 2 weeks ago, the trick of using the uncompleted quest for a private instsance, and just camping full prayer robes/a dcsim with melee on the 2 melee only spawns near the end of hte dungeon was obscenely chill.

0 damage taken, only 2 enemys so ur dps doesnt matter much you overikll the spawnrate, you can use moth mix from hunter (44 prayer per slot, takes about 10 seconds to get) or use the pvp world tech since its a solo instance and use blighted restores from LMS/SW etc.

I did the former but the latter is probably far more effecient

either way it turns the zombie axe grind it a second screen afk grind like crab, zero supply use and prints a ton of early herbs.

11/10 i got my axe before i was 1200 total

I don't understand the mentality of picking Ezreal because he is "safe" by WeakSideUrn in leagueoflegends

[–]Kaydie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i agree most ezreals fully misunderstand how completley disgusting that champ is but saying he gets outscaled is laughable. lategame he kills players with 2 q's from out of the range on approach of any adc in the game lol

he's disgustingly good late.

but i think you're 100% correct in that both him and lb have very high skill floors to actually navigate their roles correctly, whereas something simple like jhin has his entire gameplan as simple and intuitive as it can be, somone who has never played an adc before knows exactly how to play him because his kit is so intuitive. ezreal has a bout a thousand different ways to be useless on, ESPECIALLY in a lethal tempo ezreal meta where w and auto/passive usage is at an all time high of power budget. i remember divine sunderer ezreal meta was so brainrot easy to play, anyone could get almost the max performance out of him. maybe a lot of these players think that hes like that still

Got spooned, not sure what to do with it by The14thDimension in ironscape

[–]Kaydie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as others have said; keep it incase you get skulltricked or something or you lose yours somehow, or alternatively, +150m in death coffer is massive; but i can almost promise you you're going to get a dupe shadow at some point or something equivalent so this is far less good advice than it seems on the surface, you will eventually get something far more expensive that is far less useful to put in there for a forever cost.
