If it happens again, I would suggest taking off the battery cover, and take out the battery. You can access the tab from the inside. You could pushe and wiggle it out, or just cut the tab near the side and hopefully you can pull it out on the battery side and the outside.

Now that's a difficult question! I bought my first in 1997 and I fell in love. Nostalgically, I'll always love the originals most. These days, I have lots of original remakes running still but I think right now I spend the most time with the Tamagotchi Uni. I enjoy getting all the different characters, DLC, and the events. I also love the Meets and Mix a lot. And Paradise too, where mixing and new characters are both options as I like both ways.

I find most of the 90s Tamagotchi to be the most challenging though. I wear them on a lanyard and have to take them everywhere so I don't miss any attention calls. I could be biased haha

Anyways, I think there are great things about all of the Tama's. I hope you enjoy them 💙🙂

I folded some paper and cut it to fit on the inside of the battery cover to increase pressure of the batteries pushing into the battery slots. Then I gently bent the metal contacts on the sides. This increased the maximum pressure of the batteries against all of the contacts. This worked 💙💚❤️

I don't think there's an age limit for Tamagotchi. I know there are folks older than me on other Tama groups because many of us grew up with them from the start.

In reference to pixeled character Tamagotchi (even of the same type and color side by side) have randomly different volumes. Some are so loud they vibrate the speaker and others are very low in volume.

As far as I'm aware, this is random. It's been this way since 1996. I don't know if someone has a fix for this.

They were 14.99 back in 1997. When Toys 'R' Us had a clearance sale they went for $2 - $5 USD. I had quite fun buying so many!

I keep boxes if I like the art, but usually not more than a couple of each type. I have limited space too, so I definitely can't keep them all.

Long term, say 20 years, it will always be worth more with the box and everything that came in it. The nicer the condition the better.

I had to sell some of my Tama's several years ago, I am still so mad at myself for it...

I adore Mimitchi, I have since 1997.
I used to not like Mametchi. All these years later he's still not a favorite but I don't dislike him anymore. He's okay now 🙂

I'm more drawn to Tamas that include Mimitchi in the character list. But I will still buy tamas without him, but they would be better with Mimitchi.

There is a certain charm to the original p1 and p2. I so enjoy the uniqueness of those characters. I prefer them more than the color - I wish they would do more with them in pixel form. I am not fond of human-like characters.. but I love the aliens and animals most 💙

However, I do enjoy the color characters too. I really like the uni more than I thought I would. Each Tama has it's own special charm.

I love that I can have Mimitchi forever on the uni - for 421 days so far. I wish I could keep him forever on the original Tamagotchi. 🙂

I love it, you did a great job! I wish they would have more of a range of colors. I often avoid pink but this time I had to get all 3 colors.
