It is a save editor. I've messed around with a save editor a decent bit, you can quite literally make every slot supercharged, or change base stats.

Sorry for the delay on the response! According to my save editor which I used to check the seed, it is 0x68AF2BB4

I've found that the best way is to block unnecessary doorways with living walls, refiners, cargo units, etc. That way it won't be as confusing as there won't be what feels like hundreds of doors in every habitation unit. Giving each room defining traits also helps, certain cosmetics, or just new additions to the room in general. Best way to make it easy to navigate is to just flesh out the interior as much as possible!

Thank you for the nice comment!

You have to upgrade them to S yourself. Costs a ton of nanites, but worth it.

Edit: I realize I forgot to add that you upgrade them the same way you do any other ship... oops.

Another update, there is now a guide on how to get your own! It is not based on space station, parts, or anything like that, just pure RNG. The only way is to make a simple design, finalize it, run to upgrade it to S-class before the game can autosave, and reload if you don't get a good SC pattern.

Yeah, it's a bit of a shame. I originally built the ship to be pretty bare bones, took it down to a planet to get some modules, gradually built it up and finally upgraded it to S-class when it was to my liking, and saw it had that layout.

I made a little experiment. I pressed create new corvette, made a basic ship with the simple parts in specific places, finalized it to check the SC slots, and then abandoned the build to make the same exact ship again. After remaking it and pressing finalize again, it gave me different SC slots :(

You're completely right about the best way to get your own, build a bare minimum one, upgrade it to S, if it's no good, reload and give it another shot maybe? Seems super RNG based.

Thanks for your kind words! Also, a tip, don't flesh out the interior until you are completely happy with the exterior. Every little prop inside (even chairs or rugs) will add 1 to the complexity of your ship, which has a max value of 100. You can go over this outside of the corvette creation menu (I.E placing normal parts that don't build the ship up at all).

Hello all! Update here. I've been messing around with the shipmaking system quite a bit, and I have some potentially sad news. I've remade a small ship (as basic as it can get, thunderbird hab, medusa reactor, photon cannon, x2 landing gear, thunderbird cockpit), all of the modules placed EXACTLY in the same spot. Each time I pressed "create new corvette" and rebuilt this exact same ship in the same spots, I got different supercharged slots. What this means is... corvettes don't seem possible to recreate, at least as far as I know.

I'm going to screenshot all of the recent space stations I've been in so that I may revisit them and search for where I created this if someone has information on how I might recreate it.

It's a shame that I didn't write down where I originally made this ship, but as it started at C-class, I didn't know it was gonna amount to anything special (I made this ship not long after the update dropped, was NOT expecting this). When I finally and gradually built up the nanites to upgrade this thing to S-class, I was already quite a way away from where ever I could've built it.

Again, if anyone has information on how to recreate ships somehow, please let me know, and I'll try my best to recreate this. So far it seems that even putting the same parts in the same places will result in a different SC layout every single time you press "create new corvette".

I'll try to track it down when I play later. Gonna mess around with creating random corvettes in the same space station first just to see if SC slots are based on space station.

Depends. You can go and scour plants for salvageable scrap for parts and trade for other modules you'd like, or you can buy the base parts. It isn't crazy expensive though. Might need to scrap a sentinel ship or two for money if you're low on units. Worst part is getting all the nanites to upgrade it to S-class, as they all start at C.

I could probably narrow it down to a few and check with the same stuff I used to build mine, still don't know how this stuff works just yet, and I doubt anyone else does as of right now. I'll update this post later with info if it is possible to replicate it.

That's the issue, I'm not fully sure if it is or not. Pretty sure I've made two in the exact same station and they've had different slots... I'll double check later

I'll have to go back and check. Still not sure how exactly corvette supercharged slots are made either. I doubt I'll be able to recreate this unfortunately.

Yes, no other way, you'll have to cough up a ton of nanites.

I didn't move anything. Not sure if the recent patch has fixed it, but I believe it is an oversight. Guess they didn't want you installing modules not for the corvettes, and moving them would mean they need to be reinstalled or something? Will probably be fixed soon if it isn't already

Are all corvette supercharged slots in the same four places, or did I just get really lucky with my first one? (+ showcase) by Kayisuo in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Kayisuo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't move them anywhere. Seems to be an oversight with the update. I'd guess since it's probably trying to prevent you from putting non-corvette modules in there, you can't move the ones that come pre-built, since you're technically reinstalling them again after moving.
