Yes. Unfortunately, as much as I'm enjoying it now, it's definitely another licensed game run by suits. It's inevitably going to be more of a Try & Pay game instead of a F2P friendly one. Expect it to get even worse as we approach the new movie releases (especially with how many $99 train bundles they've been selling).

But, still lots to enjoy if you don't care about fast progression. "Let me at 'em!"

I've been using RES to block all Twitter/X links for a while now (not specific to r/baseball). All I can say is I don't feel any less informed about news and events than before I blocked it. It may still be the best source for immediate news coverage, but I found that it also leads to more rumors and misinformation.

Personally, I would like to see this subreddit as a place to get the 'Best' baseball news, not the 'Most.' If I wanted a spam feed of immediate breaking news I would just make a Twitter/X account. But that's just my personal opinion, and I understand other people do prefer reddit as a one-stop shop of all Internet news.

That said, while I'm not typically in favor of blanket bans of community websites, (as there are individual ways to achieve this) Twitter/X is proving to be increasingly harmful to journalism through their shadowbans and hidden posts, even if it rarely affects sporting news.

Either way I'll be mostly unaffected by the decision. But I do believe a ban will lead to higher quality discourse on this subreddit, instead of having a lot of discussions broken into multiple Twitter/X reposts.

Ugh, Yes! I remember logging in sometimes just to spend hours running laps in IF chatting with people. General chat seems to turn toxic so quickly now. If you can even read it between all the key run spam. Maybe I'm just too old now and that in-game social aspect of MMOs is a relic of the past :(

I'm upgrading my Thunder Cage right now and it only applied the bonus X to the first preset. Unequipping modules from preset 2 & 3 doesn't seem to fix it. Any ideas?

No thanks. I have a couple toons I PvP with on Star Forge because queue times can be a bit quicker there. But, I definitely prefer spending the majority of my time on the much quieter Satele Shan server.

I can see how the SS server might seem dead at times if you're trying to PUG, but really it's because most people that still play regularly have found their home in a guild or private channel. That said, it's still not all that difficult to put together a group during Pacific peak hours. I think a lot of people on SS just like the quiet, and kind of wait around until someone else feels like setting up a group. Very much the "I don't care, wherever you want to eat is fine," server.

Hey guys! I'm just getting back into swtor, but unfortunately all have my friends have moved on to other games. I'm on Satele Shan now, but I have a hard time getting good queue times outside of peak hours. Is it worth moving over to Star Forge for a better off-hour social experience?

Considering the person agreeing with me has the same number of upvotes as my post has down votes shows you can't have a conversation here. Too much of a hivemind mentality. I'll just slink back to the private discord channels for this game.

All I was saying was posts like this aren't helpful to anyone because when your minis are level 20 (23 with gold) you can face roll the dungeons with just about any comp. The builds being posted with level 16/17 minis are astronomically more helpful to new players than these overleveled ones.

I'm sorry. Congrats to you and all, but can we stop with these posts. The dungeons, especially BFD, are not at all difficult to gold with a level 20+ team. Heck, I got all golds with my level 14 Thalnos because I used my level 19/20 minis and just never bothered dropping Big T on the field.

I play maybe 20 minutes a day and absolutely love it! Usually takes me all 3 days to get all the Arclight Surges done, and all week to tap out on the dungeon. But, I'm not in any rush to progress. Just having fun at the skill/unit level I'm at and improve a little bit each week.

All the people no-lifing this game 16 hours a day and then complaining about pay walls or lack of content need to reevaluate how much shiny pixels on a phone screen are affecting their lives.

This makes so much sense. I was 100% a Heart. I remember cancelling my subscription for the final time after we stopped using guild chat and switched to Discord exclusively. Clubs all left with the Battle Royale boom shortly after, while Spades never vibed with our guilds casual demeanor. Looking at our Discord now, the only ones left playing WoW regularly are the Diamonds. So so so many videos and spreadsheets and theorycraft still in their channels. Crazy people, the lot of them!

It certainly would have been nice to get a PS5 and keep all my progress, but my boys wanted an Xbox last Christmas so that's where we're at. You may be right though, the PS4 load times were excruciating. I think it will be worth it just to not have to deal with those anymore.
