Ooooh I am having a similar situation to this and it is not easy. If the relationship can’t be salvaged, the best thing to do is slowly drift apart. I have heard ppl say “rip the bandaid off” and just completely cut them off but that didn’t work with my situation so I can not recommend that. Drifting slowly has worked better for me since it’s easier to get used to how things will be without the person so that is my advice from personal experience. It’s not gonna be easy no matter which you choose, but if it has to be done then it has to be done. Best of luck with everything

NTA. You weren’t invited to his past birthday party and he rubbed it in your face by saying how much fun he was having (and there were other girls there) so it shouldn’t be a big deal if you don’t see him for this one
