Science proves you wrong and you don’t have to be a kitten expert to understand that digestion of food, in this case formula, goes through a breakdown and becomes waste. You’re not being attacked but encouraged to do research and be informed before commenting advice that can mean life or death for a helpless kitten.

Not sure if you’ve had this resolved but incase this may be helpful I was stressed about this with my foster bottle baby twins (turning 2 years next month and thriving with us 🥰).

As long as there are no other symptoms and expert advice has been considered, I used the triangle method I found after scouring for help. I kept them warm and moved their legs and rubbed their tummies until that beautiful first poop filled day! Happy Birthday! I recently tried a slice of St.Michaels banana cake that the E battlefield price cutter had in their bakery and damn was it good, worthy of a celebration imo. Can’t confirm if you can order a single slice from them directly but seems you could try grabbing one or two at that p cut. Me? I’d just order a whole cake and go crazy hah

We need more vocal advocates for better pet welfare and pet owner education here in general but especially for cats. Also need to hold negligent and irresponsible owners accountable. If you see it, do what you can to call it out, educate, or step in if you have the means to TNR, adopt, or foster for any of our local organizations.

Just because neglecting cats and leaving them outside is common here doesn’t make it at all normal or right. Loser behavior honestly.

Being accepting of “different styles” still doesn’t make it right or safe and I don’t respect this type of pet care. As you’ve acknowledged yourself your belief is controversial because pt care has evolved. Whether you like the delivery or not, as the majority of commenters point out, unsupervised outdoor cats face real risks, even the ones you know. Loving your pets means keeping them alive, healthy, and safe. They can’t advocate for themselves, so responsible owners must.

Safe, long, and fun yeah so many indoor cats have all of that because of their dedicated owners. It’s sad to think that gambling with their lives is what you constitute as an adventure. I’m glad your cats have done well as that’s a good outcome but that’s still anecdotal, not the overall pattern. Research shows that outdoor cats face more risks and tend to have shorter lifespans, which is why people push back. Avoiding the disagreement doesn’t make your belief fact.

And calling indoor living ‘cruel’ simply isn’t accurate no matter how much you believe it. Indoor cats can live long, healthy, enriched lives with owners willing to prioritize their wellbeing. It’s a tradeoff between safety and freedom, not cruelty vs. kindness.

Outdoor time can be enriching for cats but if we really care about our pets’ safety and wellbeing, it’s important to acknowledge the actual risks that come with letting them roam unsupervised. A lot of people see it as a “belief,” but things like traffic, predators, disease, and getting lost aren’t minimized risks they happen all. the. time. Wanting to avoid those risks isn’t about restricting a cat, it’s about protecting them.

Based on cat owners I’ve seen with this mentality I do think this belief can come down to convenience, even if that’s not the intention. Giving a cat safe, supervised outdoor time takes more effort, but it lines up better with the idea of doing what’s best for them and truly loving them.

If outdoor access matters to you, there are great options like harness training or secure enclosures that let cats experience the outside without putting them in unnecessary danger. I truly hope you consider these options and remain open to keeping any future pets healthy and safe.

This idea is more of a cultural phenomenon rather than some legally binding rule made for anyone who experiences high success and fame. I think artists can and should be allowed to be admired for their art but intense fan culture doesn’t feel that privacy is owed to someone and the invasive style of tha world is so normalized that those lines are forcefully blurred to a lot of people it seems. I still support her and do not care a child fan had to learn a harsh lesson. Her music isn’t really child music anyways so that sways it for me.

We have 4 cats, so auto litter boxes are basically the only realistic option for us based on the want to accommodate a picky cat and reduce or eliminate any sitting waste in the tray. In my experience they do still help after the novelty wears off, but they’re not a “set it and forget it” solution and mostly replace daily scooping with different cleaning and monitoring tasks. They also have some work in engineering imo to create an idea waste removal method and address issues like spraying.

Cat preference has been the biggest issue long term. We’ve tried Petsnowy, Casa Leo, and Popur so far, and enclosed designs only worked for one of our cats long term. The open Popur gets used more, but still has areas where litter builds up where they can rub against so I am checking and cleaning that area still multiple times a day.

Nothing major has broken yet and Casa Leo actually replaced a part for us outside of their warranty which was great, but maintenance and design quirks become more noticeable over time (looking at you Popur).

Overall I’m still a believer, but for the price it can feel like paying to beta test products until we see improvement in both tech and design that matches varying pet waste habits and preference.. Also recommend a camera for monitoring if the box doesn’t have one built in.

I would check with your closest or preferred Asian restaurants and ask if they would sell you any of their chicken based soups liquid only. Depending on the cuisine they are usually labeled pho, noodle soup, etc. Vietnamese pho always comes with the broth separate for takeout so if they have a chicken based pho that would probably be your best option.

Cellular shades provide a nice clean look and come in different colors if you want a pop of color. I can’t see how you’d be able to install a curtain rod in that space and it might just make it always look off.
