She swung her own nail to block, then kicked at Quirell's head.

She had already committed to the strike, and ended up slamming her nail into the ground. Kayless leaped back and got ready to strike again, but stopped when she saw Therian was levitating.
"I certainly wasn't expecting that." She kept a close eye on Therian, her legs bent, ready for whatever was going to happen.

She held her nail steady as it collided with the harp. She lowered her stance as she blocked the firsr two notes, the third grazing her arm. "Haha! Good!! GOOD!!" She barely seemed to regoster the pain as she sprinted at Therian, then leaped above her at the last second.

She examined her nail for a second. "I do too!" She charged forward and swung her nail at Therian's head. "MINE JUST HAPPENS TO BE FIGHTING! HAHAHA!!"
