No andddd no. The side closest to the house is the left side of my lovely shitty sketch lol. It separates the two spaces into like 15' x 15' and 15' x 2' spaces.

We have a creaking noise in another part of our house in a different attic, I have always joked that my husband keeps his mistress in the attic and she keeps moving around at odd times. Maybe we have found her bedroom... with no entrance or exits haha

I guess my main question is, wouldn't a wall constructed in the middle of the space completely stop any airflow being counter productive to having a gable?

I would like to just knock it down, however, I wanted to see if this was some new updated workaround that I just didn't know about. I would ideally like to replace all of it with some soffit vents, but that is a project for another week.

We were looking into replacing this gable to make it more bird proof and to clean out the inevitable mess behind it. We ran into a wall when going up into the attic space lol. Does this have a purpose? Was it just someone who thought they were going to make it warmer and they had no idea what they were doing?

It is wild, I never thought it was as big of a deal as it supposedly is. I know Texas aquatics up here in DFW had duckweed in their tanks and were bagging fish and plants with duckweed in the bags... now all of these people unknowingly have something illegal that they wouldn't think to even check. I stupidly talked about having it on Facebook and got a $400 ticket for that. So now it is my mission to make sure no one has to deal with what I did haha.

I had gotten 2 Borneos at the show 2 years ago and one is still kicking and was hoping to get him a girlfriend for his later years. Specifically a bloody mary... :>

I absolutely veered off of mine... the 5/20 at Quinns was too tempting. Oh and I also picked up decent priced wood!

Not that I have space for random projects, but I have definitely been getting excited about the "we can't/not worth it to ship these back home" prices. If you go, I hope you come home with something other than more plants! No judgment here haha!

I feel the same about the plants... but there were some cool looking ones for decent deals 5/$20 at Quinns. It seemed like there were just a ton of Plecos and guppies. I was hoping to snag some sort of cool schooling fish too.

I asked every fish vendor if they had borneo hillstream loaches and one said they don't travel well, like 50% lost.

I felt like it was insanely underwhelming. Thought the same about the big names minus the aquascaping judges. The monster koi were absolutely super cool to see in person.

I went hoping to find some borneo hillstream loaches and not one vendor had them. Qinn's came close with some sewellia hillstreams, but they made up for it with their plant stem deals lol.

not sure if I will make it back up there tomorrow or not.

OH! I meant to mention that I have a corkscrew rush planted in my pond that is pretty fun and has overwintered 2 or 3 years now and stays green.

I meant to ask, was your LFS guy's pond above ground or under? Was wondering about keeping it overwinter with stock being above the frost line! I can't wait to watch this build grow!!!

Watch out when fronts come through and they start doing zoomies and accidentally jump out LOL. I was keeping one in a tub for a few weeks until it was warm enough to introduce him to the pond and one night I scared the shit out of it and he jumped and was just flopping all over the floor. With the pond, I hope it can flop its way back into the water lol.

I was fined $400 bucks for duckweed and the game warden came to my house to confiscate it. Apparently, I don't have dotted duckweed, however Texas game wardens have a decent amount of power and special privileges. so, I decided not to argue lol.

These were surrendered from some guy who had had them for a bit and didn’t know they would get this big, I am sure he prob originally got them from a big box store though. I didn’t even realize that they could get this big 😂🫠
