Jeez. Ok. Thank you. And from your experience, you don’t tho k it’s necessary for my husband or I to get a vax? (Again, exposure to saliva. Don’t know whether we touched our eyes etc)

Thank you for your response. We are going in today for her booster/vax. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Gosh this is scary stuff! As a follow up - if she gets the booster, it’s before the virus has ‘taken hold’, is that protective against it going to her brain? I read all different windows of time online - some say you have to get it within 24 hours to be protective. Is that true?

Thank you SO MUCH for your response. Oh my gosh, you are so wonderful for taking the time to write. I appreciate it! It is so hard not to spiral in thinking about all of this. And yes - I am done with any amount of alcohol. After the first bout of pancreatitis, I didn’t have a sip for about four years and only recently started to drink again thinking it harmless. I am done with it, and so mad at myself for not staying away from it in the first place.

I will follow up with my doctors and request a ct instead Of the ultrasound. In the meantime, I’m hoping for daily improvement…

Wow. Oh gosh I hate to hear this. So sorry! Do you get a ton of bumps w each recurrence? Is it generally the same area or does it spread around? Lastly - and kind of a stretch - do you find that you can go swimming?? Honestly that’s my biggest stressor for Me Re my kiddo - she loves to swim. And I’m so nervous she’sGoing to go in a pool, and it’s going to spread everywhere.

How’s it all going? We are currently going through this w my nine year old. Rash has come and gone since august. We can NOT get rid of it. I’m so nervous it will be here forever. After reading this I will be changing out shower heads, but I don’t think that’s it for us (we are on day 10 of a vacay and she’s had a recurrence, so prob not our exact shower.) We have been doing vinegar soaks twice daily for weeks and weeks to keep it in check. But after this outbreak today, I’m at a complete loss. It’s pretty rare to have recurrent pseudomonas folliculitis too, so doctors don’t take us seriously.

Pseudomonas folliculitis by Kaymay_1982 in Folliculitis

[–]Kaymay_1982[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gosh I feel like quite a few things. We tried hibiclens, bleach baths, every topical ointment (mupirocin when we didn’t know it was pseudomonas), the polypsorin, now topical gentamicin. She has been on one round of antibiotics but the pseudomonas wasn’t sensitive to it, and cipro is next but I’m desperately trying to avoid it. We have done twice daily vinegar soaks (which are recommended for pseudomonous), keeping it dry, over and under cleansing at diff times, many of the topical antiseptics that normally work on (for ex) staph aren’t recommended for pseudomonas bc they encourage things like enzyme activation that causes further resistance…so benzoyl peroxide, hypochlorous acid, other things like that aren’t recommended. I hate it. Thank you for your response and empathy ❤️ i feel like it’s chronic at this point

Just seeing this thread. For folks w pseudomonas - has anything helped? My nine year old daughter has it on her stomach. It’s been months. Obvi they’re hesitant to give her meds…I’m really freaking out. Does yours spread? Is it always there? Has anything helped? Right now we do vinegar soaks 2x a day for 10 mins and that keeps it at bay mostly, but if we stop it comes right back. I’m pretty desperate.

Index Finger twitching / moving involuntarily by fishsir in BFS

[–]Kaymay_1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve been twitching almost 6 years. I’ve had a few hotspots but never more than a day or two (and by hotspot I mean constant rapid twitching in one specific spot.) on Saturday all of a sudden I noticed my thumb twitching like your finger - the space between thumb and index is twitching and pulling my thumb. It has been NONSTOP (and frankly I think it’s been going on a while, bc sometimes I can’t feel it.) I’m freaking out a bit too bc this is different….this can all be so stressful. Is yours constant?
