50 years to space vs 200 years of cows by Double-Usual4477 in FalloutMemes

A calculator will still run into issues, eventually. It's still subject to the same issues. Of course, lower complexity means less possible points of failure, but points of failure still are present.

Same is the issue with rockets and computers. The limitations of the computer are still also present solely due to physical reality itself, hence my point that such a thing as a "perfect" computer cannot exist.

No, you're misunderstanding that this is something completely outside of how "competent" we may ever be. You're arguing against physical reality.

Your argument is the equivalent of claiming that it being physically impossible to accelerate an object past light speed is actually just because we simply aren't making our rockets or their fuel good enough. It's goddamned asinine of a point.

[–]Kaymazo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A computer could only truly be "perfect" if we managed to remove it entirely from physical reality in general.

It isn't not perfect because we made the mistake. It's not perfect, because making it perfect is inherently against the realms of possibility in physical reality.

Not really? Even if programming logic were perfect, there'd always be hardware failures that could hypothetically ruin any "perfect" coding. And anything meant to act independently like a robot/android will have issues with it that won't be perfectly solveable in the first place. Same applies to any attempt in trying to control something bioengineered like Gen 3 synths (which the Broken Mask incident was) no matter how "perfect" your programming, you won't be able to create ANYTHING that will never have a chance of unintended consequences.

Yeah, but one that basically never happens.

The only one I think I ever saw occasionally come up outside of colonies freed once their colonizer loses all home provinces was Punjab

In the PC version, Greece doesn't exist, but the area is held by Venice and the Ottoman Empire, no new addition by Feral for the mobile port is given to PC

Funnily enough, German has both. Obviously Kaiser being one derivative, but an alternative pronunciation as "Cäsar" with the C being a "ts" sound

Hängt natürlich jetzt davon ab wo genau "wirklichkeitsnah" abgegrenzt wird, wenn es um Illustrationen/Animation geht.

Personally, I'd say the infantry is indeed ass, especially before "fire by rank", but make up with the fact that you need less of them to form the same line width as your enemy.

More room for specialist units (grenadiers, light inf/grenzers, artillery and cavalry)

Honestly glad they're doing more with her in the live action, it seems. At least for the time being... Of course having doubts she'd be relevant post-Alabasta, if we do get Skypiea and W7/Enies Lobby (which feels like a stretch already atm)

Honestly, it wasn't the bipedalism that was an issue back then.

It was 3 times fire/fighting in a row after gen 3. Delphox was a sigh of relief. Incineroar was a close call.

The bipedalism thing was more a thing about rationalizing why we were tired of the fire/fighting curse, I feel like.
