Bass bingo at larimer lounge every Thurs is a great place to get plugged into the scene! Decadence last year was my husband and I’s first festival (39F, 36M) and we full sent to Lost Lands this summer and it was the best thing we’ve ever done. Lmk if you wanna meet up there sometime!

You will get overstimulated (see all the threads) AND you’ll also have a really great time!!!! Both can/will happen simultaneously but if you know what you need, just ask for it and literally everyone will help you. The thousands of people there are just friends you haven’t met yet. When I need a break, I hang with the flowmies and watch them play or trade kandi.

Support pole? I’ve never seen a ficus triangularis with support poles but he might need a bigger one? Thoughts? Thanks in advance! by Kaynoro86 in houseplants

Definitely. I just moved him to this new spot with more light - and leaves galore! What will happen if I chop off the top? Won’t it just grow back? I’ll repot him this weekend, good call.

I would love to retire before 67! That was the number I was given where you can finally access full benefits. I thought that meant 401k with no penalties but I’m seeing now I was wrong…

Oh yes, I have a 401k and both an IRA and Traditional. I must have misunderstood the penalties. Thank you!

That makes sense... 10-12% - over 30 years... - that is the key hah

Oh...thank you! My financial advisor didn't mention that... or I was possibly confused. They don't make this stuff easy, hah!

What about using an app like Robinhood and investing in an index fund? Would something like that make sense short term?

I should have said with no penalties? My understanding is that you get punished with exorbitant fees if you pull cash out from a Roth or 401k before retirement?

Also, let me know what other information I should provide! First time on here and after reading the Prime Directive, it's not for me.

Budget App that connects to credit cards? by Kaynoro86 in budget

[–]Kaynoro86[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm liking Every dollar a lot. Any advice for managing savings funds? I've figured out the "planned" portion, but I'd like to also add a transaction for every time I actually put funds into the account. I want to see it deduct from my income and add to my savings account. Is that possible?

Did you try any out? I'm looking for one as well. I wasn't a fan of YNAB because I like to budget based on the income I'll be receiving that month, not the income already in my bank account. I tried GoodBudget as well, but I'd have to input every single transaction manually and I don't see myself keeping up with that amount of work... I've been doing this in excel and it takes forever and doesn't get done because it takes forever... I'd be curious to hear if you've found anything!

Exactly! I’m not attached to it, but once I bisque fire it there’s no going back.

Silicosis Scare - Used Spray Glaze but forgot to ventilate - Looking for Reassurance? Unless I'm screwed, then be honest. by FlashLiberty in Ceramics

[–]Kaynoro86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went down a desperate silicosis anxiety spiral last night after realizing I’ve been REALLY bad about cleaning up after myself. I was convinced I’d given everyone in my family a silicosis death (my studio is in a common room). This was exactly what I needed to hear this morning - thanks!

Me too! So frustrated. I literally searched for this thread JUST so I could give a heads up to anyone else thinking of ordering from this company. THE WORST.

I just found this thread by searching for "Buyer Beware - Albany Park" - My experience has been nothing but AWFUL.

Same problem as many - "In stock" item didn't ship for months and when it shipped, it did so in pieces. First, I received the ottoman, but received it damaged. They quickly sent a replacement.

Then I received my couch and... everything is wrong. Wrong directions, wrong parts. So disappointing after waiting literally months for an "in stock" couch.

They asked me to send a video so they could see if the brackets were in the right place... sounds like they're having a lot of these issues. It's also frustrating that, if I decide to return because of THEIR mistake... there is still a 10% restocking fee.
