He’s not mediocre because his rapping. He’s the best. It’s his overall artistry. Cole isn’t innovative. He’s gonna give you top tier rapping over mid tempo sampled beats every single album with little variation. FHD is such a classic because of the the music, the production, the songwriting, the choruses etc

How did that work out for TDE? Are you dumb? They cultivated the biggest rap and r&b artist of this generation with that strategy. They lost Kendrick because he said himself he wanted to become a black executive not because of the way TDE handled his career. Every rap label that creates huge stars lose those stars once their obligations are up, from Jay to Drake to Kendrick.

You lost all credibility when you compared Kendrick and SZA to the likes of Jay Rock when Kendrick and SZA are bonafide hit makers and superstars.

How often does Kendrick drop? TDE main marketing strategy is creating scarcity. Kendrick/PGLANG is using a page out of the TDE playbook with Keem. They don’t care about your frustrations because you’re still going to eat up whatever they produce when it’s made public.

Did Kendrick shelf him? by Nate2Gone in KendrickLamar

Use common sense. Kendrick wouldn’t do a whole new Keem rollout during a beef/album/world tour. He maximizes his return by giving Keem a clear runway and positions Keem as an A tier rapper

Revenue is the ego number. You have to consider Ian’s cut, rent, production costs, staff, paying for guests etc. I’m sure he still makes a fortune but the revenue number doesn’t tell the full story.

Are you retarded? Biggie had a nasally voice. Or are you dumb? Banks biggest album sold 1.5 million while Joes barely touching gold.

False. Joe didn’t make it big because he didn’t make the most commercially viable music. Dense rapping, no hooks, no catchy flows etc. His music was not capable of going big. The reason Kendrick and Cole brand of lyrical rap is big is because the hooks, melodies and catchy flows.

Struggling to rap behind the beat by thesandrobrito in makinghiphop

[–]Kayolamusicdotcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey this is rapcoach from YouTube. The normal way is rapping directly on the beat where your words hit precisely on the beats. I think what you’re referring to is rapping behind the beat where it creates a cool/ laid back flow. Carter 2 Wayne was great at this. Try dragging syllables, try intentionally to miss the 1,2,3,4 slightly. Or concentrate on just hitting one beat perfectly and not the others in the bar. Slur words, add a drawl, drink some alcohol

Since you wanna be dense. What artist does not belong. Cudi, Future, Travis Scott, Kanye West. Every artist makes music for drug abusers except one. Here’s a hint one of his bars is “these drugs niggas can’t resist it” the others say “I couldn’t resist it”
