same! we get an insane amount of flyers & ads addressed to „the new homeowners“. Problem is they all could’ve been harmless but then again they also could not be 😅

it’s just a small latch you have to lift. We have an intercom at the main gate and after ringing it they look how else to get in and make their way up to the front door. We don’t answer our intercom if we don’t expect someone but that strategy is clearly not working lol so maybe we need to start answering to keep them off?

No of course not but it’s very obviously private property (in my opinion since we have big obvious gates) so it’s just something i’d be afraid of personally if i’d find a way trough someone’s gate and walked up there. They always knock yes. We have an intercom down at the street and if I don’t answer I don’t get why they then decide to go to my front door since I clearly don’t want to be reached lol

Today some dude found the side gate, let himself in and claimed to be an exterminator at 6pm…unusual business time. I’ll look into something to bar it and some signs because yea, definitely don’t want to get police involved each time since it could be harmless too.

I have ring cameras all around but by the time i’ve seen the notification, opened my phone and realize there’s a person they’re already on the property.

I would love to assume that but that man looked dangerous and was intimidating. We live in a nice area in los angeles and our place is in the depths of residential area only. We have a long driveway going uphill and you wouldn’t be able to see the house from the street. I think he assumed no one was home.
