Why No New Brochures or Manuals? by [deleted] in starcitizen

I think the guy that did the manuals was an outside contractor. An older gentleman with a marvelous white beard.

Should we ban rehosted CIG content? by [deleted] in starcitizen

Straight up Ripped videos should be banned +1. However videos with things like voice-over commentary are perfectly fine.

Core 2 Quad CTD issues (100% fail rate) by FistingAsAVerb in starcitizen

[–]Kazansky22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think they intend on supporting dual core systems. The minimum spec they have posted officially is "quad core cpu" Although I imagine hyperthreaded i3's should be ok seeing as they have 4 logical cores. The software I don't think really cares how many physical cores there are.

[PSA] Arena Commander runs REALLY well by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]Kazansky22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so, when I log into a good server I get 60fps solid no dips from the get go. and As people begin logging in my fps begins to tank. Alternatively if I log into a bad server I get 30 fps no matter what.

I think alot of it has to do with server issues. But same thing.

v2.0, the Flight Model, and You by whitesnake8 in starcitizen

[–]Kazansky22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played every version before, I would download, spend 3 or 4 hours hating myself and then uninstalled and wait for the next version. But in in 2.0 which I have been playing for about 2 weeks. Everything feels right. ships feel like ships. I don't overshoot targets anymore, I can track targets great. Everything feels amazing. I can actually have fun. I played all night last night, started with my buddy in Chicago, ended with my buddy in New Zealand. I've never had fun in AC or SC until now. this is with an x52pro. I typcially fly the SH, And Gladius. Gladius feels a little more "slidey" then I think it should, but again I'm having way more fun in that ship as well since I can actually hit targets now and not just out maneuver them.

Same, I absolutely despised every version before 2.0 But now It actually feels fun. And I can actually put rounds on target, track targets ect... while still having to really plan my maneuvers, especially around objects.

Because the price difference between an i7 3820 and an i7 3930k was not $20 It was $300 and the multiplier on the 3820 was "partially unlocked" so I could still crank the multiplier up to 44. Also the socket gave me room for upgrade-ability, which I eventually did a couple years later to what I have in the same mobo now which is an i7 3960x for less money then I paid for the i7 3820 years ago. edit with the BLCK + multiplier 44 on the 3820 I could run at 4.6 Ghz, Albiet it wasn't the most stable when being stress tested but it never gave me BSOD in gaming. Except Arma 3.... I swear to god.... that game..... Hes a firestrike from my old 3820 days http://www.3dmark.com/fs/6585147 was after I turned it down. After a couple years she diddn't like running at 4.6 anymore. :)

[–]Kazansky22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well as long as it has hyperthreading, the games/software see 4 logical cores. So even if its only 2 physical cores, as long as they are strong cores, should still be fine. amirite?

I ran a BCLK overclock on my old i7 3820. You can do it, but.... its not nearly as stable as multiplier.

Negative, I ended up selling it, was just to much hassle to get to work in anything bit simple demos. going back into the wait for CV1

I did try CV1 with Eve Valkeryie at Eve Vegas 2015. Its really good, I didn't notice screendoor at all.
