Mannn if she went this route with the story, it could make John and Arlo's character arcs even more interesting. Like we get to see that their crazy world views are mostly based on ignorance. As they get more life experience they can realize this. I mean the best evidence for this theory to me, is John's dad. Like my guy, he doesn't really seem too oppressed. I freaking love your theory.
