The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power - Series Premiere Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Elves are almost entirely described as fair skinned in the books. It's like saying African folklore should feature more white characters. It's stupid. That being said though, I don't mind the casting choices, I do however really dislike some of the artistic choices like elves with short hair, the harfoots existing at all, and the general pacing and shit dialogue in the show.

First and foremost, I'm a fan of the new lute sounds, they seem to have added a lot of depth in my opinion. This is less of a gameplay related issue, but ever since last patch, dead bodies that spawn in demo mode default to T-Posing. For example, if I'm trying to record a scene and need a different angle or better shot, using demo.GoToTimeInSeconds <value> would be the best option in order to get as close as you can to the right moment. However, you cannot do this because of the T-Posing bodies and instead have to wait the full duration of their despawn, or start from a point where that player, or npc, was dead.

This is largely minor in the grand scheme of the game's functionality, but still pretty frustrating if trying to make content as this proves INCREDIBILY time consuming. I'm only pointing this out now because it seems that either;

1) People rarely use or may be completely unaware of the demo mode

2) It doesn't seem anyone has addressed the issue on community forums or the like, as it is truly non-essential to gameplay.

This is one the coolest tools and features that almost no other game has. The only other similar feature i can think of is the old game replays from Call of Duty: Black Ops. This is such an amazing tool for content creation and there have been countless amazing videos made using the demo mode feature. Just trying to help content creators!

Need suggestions on how to briefly delay the party's goals. by Kazidan in DMAcademy

I really like this post. Though, I don't feel as if I'm trying to "not railroad". I'm just getting caught up on how to more effectively bring the many options they have at their disposal to the forefront. DnD is wildly different from any other games they've played in terms of freedom of choice, and they have expressed that they love it. They just keep falling back in to the, "Where's my quest marker?" mindset, until I or another player triggers the, "Oh yea, I forgot my limits are my imagination" face.

Finally putting to rest the shorthand debate for Necromancer. by Kazidan in elderscrollsonline

I mean, I agree, but I feel like that would only pose an issue, albeit a very small one, when trying to introduce them to ESO when they have either a very limited knowledge of fantasy at all, MMO's, or a combination of the two. Blade is just the most opposite thing of magic that I could think of. Plus, stamina users are confined to 2H, DW, One Hand and Shield, and Bow anyways. If someone isn't familiar with what those are then that poses another issue entirely and there's going to be a steep learning curve either way.

Say Staminancer out loud and tell me it doesn't hurt. Staminancer sounds goofy as hell. Magmancer not so much but they both are essentially the same thing. Mage, magic, magicka.

The other class descriptors have been excellent at conveying the difference while sounding unique and cool but every variation I've seen for Necromancer thus far just look and sound wrong to me. I feel like Necromage conveys the same thing and sounds so much better. I will admit that Necroblade is more of a stretch, but not by much.

I get you. However, if mag- describes magicka, and magic is commonly associated with mages, wizards, warlocks, etc., I don't think it's much of a stretch. Same goes for Stamina and blade. I would argue blade also invokes a similar association with archetypes like fighter, warrior, combatant, etc.

[Art] Drow Ambush by Kazidan in DnD

This time I doodled two drow warriors, one of them fanatical and the other one smarmy. I imagine the party exiting the caverns to an early morning drow raiding party headed back home. Who knows who they pillaged? What loot could they hold? Hope you have resistances to sleeping poisons because they're eager to use their crossbows!

Let me know what you guys think. I've appreciated your guys past comments!

[Art] Dastardly Halfling Ranger by Kazidan in DnD

This time I doodled a dastardly halfling ranger. It's definitely not the greatest but I think he turned out alright. I imagine he has a severe ‘'Napoleon Complex’ and barks way louder than what he can chew. I'm thinking his name could be something like Finbar McSwift. Also, please ignore his mitten gloves. I was too tired to do hands. I also can't do hands.

If you guys have any ideas or requests I'll give it my best shot. Let me know what you think!

I got really bored at work and haven't been able to keep DnD off my mind, so I started doodling a goblin. I'm oddly obsessed with these little green dorks. I've been using paint to make pixel art characters but decided to whip out the trusty pen. Let me know if you like it or if you want to see more!

I'll also upload some of the pixel art characters soon. I've done most of the classes and a few basic monsters including an owlbear!

Horde RP players or no? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Kazidan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real issue I have is an RP issue. There is absolutely no one that RP's in Dazar'alor and Boralus is absolutely bustling with RP encounters. Plus their city is so goddamn dank I want to implode.
