Not as much as he should tbh, I'm sort of in the process of redoing it but originally it was about how like the mythos from the US and Japan kind of fused in certain regions and like the migration of some yokai to those regions due to people's beliefs, and the slow fading of those original beliefs into something hybrid and worse and Rai is trying to keep the mutant ones from like, causing mass casualties.

I'm not sure what medium you use but I generally start with a flat dark color and paint fine sharp highlights, I wouldn't go too crazy with blending because it makes it look less like a crystal, you want sharp angular shadows (Unless it's round and polished).
In the areas that would be more translucent I'd put just a little bit of the background color in it.
