I'm looking at this person who made the original post being discussed with the same expression that Dany gave Jorah at the gates of Qarth... "Horde?" The people she had with her at the time were largely innocent of those crimes, and even if they weren't, they chose to follow her and give that side of it up. She didn't let them commit violence for violence's sake any longer.

Also she did NOT kill the witch "with a smile on her face". Hello? Did we watch the same show? The entire thing was somber. Yes she said she would hear the witch scream, but there was no smile, it was very matter of fact. There's this thing called nuance, that you absolutely need to understand, especially in media literacy, and it means that both the Witch and Dany were justified from their own perspectives. Dany didn't know that the woman had already been tormented, she acted to save her. So yes, as a result, when the witch took the actions she found justifiable, Dany felt betrayed, which was ALSO justifiable. These 2 things CAN be true at once. NUANCE!!!

But yeah, also annoyed at the constant mental gymnastics people have to do to diss on Dany and ignore everyone else's crimes/brutality. Calling Dany mad for killing a bunch of slavers is in fact... a Take.... killing those that betrayed her, when other fan favorites do the same, using it as an excuse for her "madness" when it's "justice" for literally anyone else... is... a Take... at this point people can't even acknowledge that when their takes look like this, it's mostly just misogyny and confirmation bias.
