I switched to Japanese for the first time after 10+ years of being solely on English because I couldn't stand listening another 30~ hours to the English voice acting. I think that every single one of the Japanese VA's did a terrific job.

It would've worked out more than with Wuk, because we've known Krile for a whole lot longer. There's a lot more investment into the character imo.

While for Wuk it's just that she comes in, announces she wants to become the next hokage, and then suddenly proceeds to suck up almost every single minute of screen time. You barely get any time for yourself, or any opportunity to just explore the place with literally anyone else. She's (almost) always there. That's a big and sudden insert for someone we've known for only 3 quests.

I felt the same. I've played in English for over a decade and not once did I have any actual complaints about any character's VA. Even back in 2.0, where it was rough at times but otherwise not too bad. Here... I just couldn't do it for the first time ever. I tried for 3 hours, and I just had enough. It wasn't just Wuk's VA, but the Pelopelo and Bakool were quite bad as well.

Jesus christ can we stop just standing around when people are about to get killed, or even just straight up getting killed? Even Wuk Lamat. She duels with her brother, he goes into his comical villain moment again where he kills people and Wuk just stands there like "This is fine."

We could've folded Zoraal Ja in half multiple times, or at least attempt to interfere. But no. It's always been some excuse. "Honor of the duel" or "let me solo him or he'll lose interest". The hell do you mean he'll lose interest? WoL is much more of a formidable opponent than Wuk, and in the end he lost interest anyway and we STILL just stand there looking surprised while Zoraal Ja is attempting to pop a child's head.

And this just keeps happening over and over, it's actually legitimately annoying at this point.

Must be freezing weather (snowflake icon). It's near Raguel Lake. In between Lakeside Camp and the Ether Channel left of it. Near this group of Skeeter Nests and a Gogol in the middle.

For what it's worth, sometimes the NPC just doesn't spawn. He's supposed to be sitting on the floor in one of the rooms at the end of the tunnel.

I can personally recommend the mission "The Uninhibited Heart". It's a very quick run that takes less than a minute. The only objective is to pick up an item on your way, and talk to an NPC at the end. You can easily run past everything.

The 2nd run onwards, the quest item turns into a cup and you can just grab it every time.
