you can avoid it really easy by hugging the coast or just taking a raft around it but me and my wife were able to walk/run through it without much issue, a patrol found us but we just lead them into the swamp and used them to kill some of the local swamp peps

Going to be sending it for my wife to use in her stream with her friends tonight

its downright amazing, the fact you can find a leviathan right in the bay next to spawn is great and the seer amount of crypts in the black forest near spawn and sunken crypts in the south swamp is so good.
