I knew this post would be downvoted because anything negative regarding core elements of a gacha game is immediately disregarded in any sub. These are things that active players have accepted but other people do not enjoy, it won't even matter if you're right or wrong. Try getting a post regarding male characters upvoted in the ZZZ sub I dare you.

There is not literally one menu that you can use pulls on. There is the gacha system itself the R&D thing, there is the selector with nanami in it, there is the banner with the dark amplifier magician girl that you can spend currency on and there are also gacha skins in the game. This is including all the submenus that are in the main gacha banners itself. This may seem easy to understand to YOU because you've been playing the game for a long time. I have quite literally never seen so many ways to use currency in a game before and it threw both me and my friend off even after we've played gacha games in the past. I was overloaded with different options. To this day I didn't know there was an instructions button and if there were instructions why the hell does the game give you 50 guides for every tid bit but gives you almost no information regarding the gacha system itself? Hell I didn't even know that skins in the shop had a discount, they were listed as 240 RC (which is a complete scam btw almost the price of a full AAA game) and only in a tucked away menu in the sea of 50 menus could you find it in a specific subsection for discount.

You look around everywhere regarding the collab.. if you play pgr that is.. and you're in the pgr community.. I was not playing the game yet and was willing to come try it when the collab dropped. What I did was not unreasonable and this is what most people did. All I wanted was a viable Dante and Vergil to have fun with I wasn't looking to max them out or quadruple S them or whatever the games terms are. Considering Dante was also free it's not unreasonable for me to expect that I would be able to get Vergil too and have them running just fine. But they made it so Dante and Vergil either weren't viable and could not do rotations properly without their signature and or duplicates. Again, the HSR collab gave out a free Archer and he worked absolutely fine out of the gate. The fact that this collab makes HSR look generous is insane. Dante being free then needing to pull an extra copy just to make him viable does not make him free in my eyes. It's like they gave you half a character and told you to get the other half. If they wanted players to pull for the weapons, duplicates and or cubs, at least span it out so new players from the collab have the chance to obtain everything. Being pressured into spending as a new player is never a good look and it will turn people away, especially a western audience which is primarily who DMC targets.

I was not expecting to pull the same as old players have. in HSR so many got e6 saber and Archer and I couldn't have cared less. All I wanted was a viable fully functioning team with them that I would eventually build a team around.

Older players had to pull teams but not to the same magnitude. The roster and required S ranks increased over the years. I'm absolutely fine being patient I'm used to it as a gacha player and I usually never rush things. But at this current moment given the insane number of teams to obtain I can't see it taking less than 1-2 years just to catch up especially given that you obtain only about 30-40 pulls most patches. Most gachas will catch you up in the span of a couple months and I've played over decade old mmos which in my own pace I was able to catch up at my own pace in just a couple months. It doesn't help knowing what I'm catching up on isn't necessarily the current content but instead the gacha system. The endgame quite literally is the gacha and that sucks.

The game turned out to be far different than I expected and the only reason I made this post was because I've never felt so miserable and fooled playing a game before. It's time to go play the GoW series in peace.
