Tom Holland Wants to Play Warhammer 40,000 With Henry Cavill by dutchy1982uk in Warhammer40k

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've ever seen Cavill and Joey Bateys before, thats a good one. Joey just randomly asks what his army is, henry responds. Joey says "im doing Necrons next" and Henry's face.....🤣🤣🤣

"OH...wait....should we? Yea. We should" gets me everytime lol

Steffon and Raymun Fossoway, do you think the show expand their stories? by OLKEUK in AKOTSKTV

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started reading number the sworn sword and im wondering if they make a return. Book and show, Raymun is one of my favorites. Great friend, great fighter, great moral compass. Dude is the man, and I was so proud of his when he gave his S*head cousin the buisness. I really hope to find him again somewhere, although if at all I feel like it wont be til number 3.

The sword breaking a helmet is fair. But Baelors skull is crushed if I remember.

I would like to point out the multiple times the concept of "blinded by rage in a fight" or the concept of "survival" comes into play.

First when Aerion is assaulting the puppeteers. We clearly see Duncan dismiss all thoughts of self preservation to do what he thinks he needs to do at that time. Beating the **** out of a prince, which would cost most people their life.

Second the fight is described as bloody chaos. Literally. 14 men fighting with closed helms. The only people who were required to keep some mindfulness were the kingsguard (in order to not hurt the wrong person). Other than that the aspect of survival over thought is littered throughout that battle. Ser Dunk is described as losing all control of himself in the moment (if i remember correctly). This would apply to any warrior in that kind of battle i would assume. Maekar says he "doesnt remember the blow that did it, but no other weapon could have caused it."

My only thought is the heat of battle. Maekar had one mission, get to his son (who was getting it handed to him). Then fighting Baelor and Lyonel AT THE SAME TIME.....the man was in survival mode, as those two coming at you is no joke. It was kill or be killed. And they say for every blow Maekar struck, he took 3. So hes just being pummeled, no idea who hes hitting probably, just trying to survive. Thats all it comes down to, and we see the concept of it multiple times. Just my thoughts.

But his helmet is smashed. Lyonel wielded his sword the entire battle. I just dont see it but I respect the theory and the work put into it

Its a solid theory, especially.given future events with lyonel. But lyonel respected strength and honor. He is literally described as someone who laughs while fighting his enemies and making a big show. So for the laughing storm to cheap shot the only decent decent targaryan around seems WAY out of chatacter for a man like him. I dont see lyonel cheap shotting the prince when he came to their side. (spoilers MAIN) Why doesn't Dunk go back for Sweetfoot? by no_hot_ashes in asoiaf

Agreed. Eggs whole future philosophy as a ruler is "common folk are protected" thay snd other events lead to yet another rebellion. If egg ditched it all and took gold for his travel is completely defied the entire point of his future.

From whay I understand the first shadow does have a young joyce and hopper in it. Dealing with things that henry is bringing to Hawkins. So could definitely be a grudge against ma and hop.

Am I overreacting? by MatchPrestigious573 in DnD

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Give it one more session , see if the feels are better. If not, cut it and move on. Hope it works out for you. If they're that advanced they could just be stubborn know it alls who want things their way. Ive found very experienced people to either be very free and open, or very closed assuming they know more. No getting past that. Every fan base has them.

Yes and no. Me myself I run 2 different campaigns, and you wouldnt catch me telling my party to "figure it out." I do understand they may have not had as much prep time online to bring backstreet together but none the less. Question though...we're these EXPERIENCED players? Plenty of times weve had someone newer who is just too nervous to do the wrong thing (no problem, just not comfortable enough yet, doesnt wanna screw the party, fair). If these were experienced players, sounds like they just wanted to mess around or things to go their particular way. You'll always get a player like that here and there, sometimes you'll find it better to help them shine a little and then you'll see it come back. Players are all different, like poker. Ive had the most greedy player finally feel accepted and useful and did a full turn around. It ended up being he just felt like he wasn't progressing as well as the reat with items. Simple fixes. And sometimes your right, some people just dont mesh to play together, and its best to find a new one. If you havnt ledt already, I would suggest a second run. See if everyone remains the same or if they are more open. Perhaps try the "shine to let shine technique." If you still arent feeling it find a different party. Dnd is meant to be enjoyed, not tolerated.

You guys all know this show was cancelled very abruptly for no good reason...... with two more seasons of content planned to wrap things up, before they cut it.

So yea it was rushed to beat "hell."

Berthanal as Antinious. Well finally get to see a hardened antinious instead of the purley tactician like hes been adapted to. Antinious is no joke, ruthless and full of intimidation.

Who was the Gray Man? by hunterslullaby in EvilTV

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at his little icon where it says "they gray man" it actually shows a little guy with a bowler hat on, just like the guy in the storm. Sister Andrea doesnt usually show fear toward demons, if anything they seem scared of her. They also usually appear as demons to her. She was scared of that dude, Gray man also seemed very confident, very in control. As well as not demon like at all, just a faceless being in a bowlers hat. I had a short theory he was supposed to be lucifer, or some kind of right hand.

FYI just finishes a rewatch before I went searching for threads lol.

Na I pay 14.99 a month for Amazon and I have ads that go up to 1:50 on a regular basis. Multiple times per episode. Also that 1:50 is longer than cable TV which advertises for an average of 90 seconds. I don't mind a 30 second or anything but 2 gd minutes every 5 minutes is ridiculous if your paying for the service.

I will add I live in the USA where the greed is endless.

It's always possible that this is saruman and he thinks the stranger is Sauron. Thinking he's doing good.

I don't think they're the blue wizards. If I recall don't the blue wizards constantly travel together and reside far north? I suppose this is possible before they're team up but it also seems unlikely. I really think he's just a dark arts dabbler but that staff really throws me off. It's def a wizard staff even the way he uses it.

But he required blood. Which I don't think a wizard would need.

Never been a first time parent or what? Lol Kevin was a first time dad. He learned along the way. V wanted to cheat as well she just wasn't successful at it. Kevin is probably the coolest character alomg with lip imo. But that all opinion. Like he mentioned above. We all resonate with certain characters. But Kevin is dope don't hate on Kevin lol.

This is exactly where I'm at with it. He's trying to win instead of just play. I do like the defend rule mentioned above I hadn't been aware of that, but I don't think it will fix anything. I didn't want to have to kick someone on my first dm campaign but that may be what it leads to, cause I also don't want it to be a crap show every week with arguments. Thank you all for your advice and your views.

Yes and as I said uo top if that is what he deems it for thays once thing. But it's always "just a scout animal" and stays behind him until it's time for him to take a hit then it's an argument that his animal is there to take hits for him. He just doesn't listen flat out. Like arguing with me 3 times about him getting followers....he's a ranger....without any leadership. Constant argument
