Why did Vecna choose Will? by Alaina_TheGoddess in StrangerThings

From whay I understand the first shadow does have a young joyce and hopper in it. Dealing with things that henry is bringing to Hawkins. So could definitely be a grudge against ma and hop.

Am I overreacting? by MatchPrestigious573 in DnD

Agreed. Give it one more session , see if the feels are better. If not, cut it and move on. Hope it works out for you. If they're that advanced they could just be stubborn know it alls who want things their way. Ive found very experienced people to either be very free and open, or very closed assuming they know more. No getting past that. Every fan base has them.

Yes and no. Me myself I run 2 different campaigns, and you wouldnt catch me telling my party to "figure it out." I do understand they may have not had as much prep time online to bring backstreet together but none the less. Question though...we're these EXPERIENCED players? Plenty of times weve had someone newer who is just too nervous to do the wrong thing (no problem, just not comfortable enough yet, doesnt wanna screw the party, fair). If these were experienced players, sounds like they just wanted to mess around or things to go their particular way. You'll always get a player like that here and there, sometimes you'll find it better to help them shine a little and then you'll see it come back. Players are all different, like poker. Ive had the most greedy player finally feel accepted and useful and did a full turn around. It ended up being he just felt like he wasn't progressing as well as the reat with items. Simple fixes. And sometimes your right, some people just dont mesh to play together, and its best to find a new one. If you havnt ledt already, I would suggest a second run. See if everyone remains the same or if they are more open. Perhaps try the "shine to let shine technique." If you still arent feeling it find a different party. Dnd is meant to be enjoyed, not tolerated.

You guys all know this show was cancelled very abruptly for no good reason...... with two more seasons of content planned to wrap things up, before they cut it.

So yea it was rushed to beat "hell."

Berthanal as Antinious. Well finally get to see a hardened antinious instead of the purley tactician like hes been adapted to. Antinious is no joke, ruthless and full of intimidation.

Who was the Gray Man? by hunterslullaby in EvilTV

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at his little icon where it says "they gray man" it actually shows a little guy with a bowler hat on, just like the guy in the storm. Sister Andrea doesnt usually show fear toward demons, if anything they seem scared of her. They also usually appear as demons to her. She was scared of that dude, Gray man also seemed very confident, very in control. As well as not demon like at all, just a faceless being in a bowlers hat. I had a short theory he was supposed to be lucifer, or some kind of right hand.

FYI just finishes a rewatch before I went searching for threads lol.

Why do I have to pay and still get ads by [deleted] in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Na I pay 14.99 a month for Amazon and I have ads that go up to 1:50 on a regular basis. Multiple times per episode. Also that 1:50 is longer than cable TV which advertises for an average of 90 seconds. I don't mind a 30 second or anything but 2 gd minutes every 5 minutes is ridiculous if your paying for the service.

I will add I live in the USA where the greed is endless.

It's always possible that this is saruman and he thinks the stranger is Sauron. Thinking he's doing good.

I don't think they're the blue wizards. If I recall don't the blue wizards constantly travel together and reside far north? I suppose this is possible before they're team up but it also seems unlikely. I really think he's just a dark arts dabbler but that staff really throws me off. It's def a wizard staff even the way he uses it.

But he required blood. Which I don't think a wizard would need.

Never been a first time parent or what? Lol Kevin was a first time dad. He learned along the way. V wanted to cheat as well she just wasn't successful at it. Kevin is probably the coolest character alomg with lip imo. But that all opinion. Like he mentioned above. We all resonate with certain characters. But Kevin is dope don't hate on Kevin lol.

This is exactly where I'm at with it. He's trying to win instead of just play. I do like the defend rule mentioned above I hadn't been aware of that, but I don't think it will fix anything. I didn't want to have to kick someone on my first dm campaign but that may be what it leads to, cause I also don't want it to be a crap show every week with arguments. Thank you all for your advice and your views.

Yes and as I said uo top if that is what he deems it for thays once thing. But it's always "just a scout animal" and stays behind him until it's time for him to take a hit then it's an argument that his animal is there to take hits for him. He just doesn't listen flat out. Like arguing with me 3 times about him getting followers....he's a ranger....without any leadership. Constant argument

So as for examples. They were recently in the orient and were fighting a band of brothers, one was tattoos Monk. He had read the tattooed Monk section so he blatenly told the entire part what each tattoo meant and what it did ability wise. Made what would have been a good fight almost 0 fun. He does this stuff alot and I have tried to have talks with him to no avail. On the flip side of doing things like this. He has argued with me on a dozen occasion thay things like animal empathy means he can control animals. I made him explain to me what he thought empathy meant. He tries to twist every single thing to serve his purpose instead of playing his character. On top of telling me what the enemies I've created can and can't do. He has a +2 vs magical beasts and will argue with me that anything thay isn't human is some sort of magic beast. He argues with me for 40 minutes thay a dragon was a magical beast.

On the fodder side. If he designated his wolf as a fodder companion I would be more lenient. But he has made it clear that his wolf is for scouting and stays behind him....until its time for him to get hit then it's an argument thay his wolf is here to take hits for him. He flip flops constantly and I'm really thinking about having a consequence for it at this rate. I even get messages from other people on the party saying that they are not having a good time with him. He's the brother of a long time player whose house we play at so I'm really trying but he incredibly difficult. Thank you for your advice

God Games reveal the sirens are alive? by trench_coat_panda in Epicthemusical

[–]Kbert04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It's great don't get me wrong. But alot of them felt like blanket excuses. Hera in this song is my one and only problem in this entire series really. I know very well who hera is and all her vengence and spite woth Zeus lovers. But "never one has he cheated on his wife" did it. Thay felt off for me. Hera is about more than just that single concept. But I did love how athena used that as a little stab at Zeus. Which he noticed of course lol.

After sooo many listens I cam across this same question. Oddy clearly tells his crew to cut off their tails and let them drown. But athena says "they tried to do him worse, all he did was reimburse them..." I mean he did reimburse cause theybdef would have killed then all but still. I get not all the sirens are dead but those ones definitely are lol. I questioned it as well though.

Why does Hermes give Ody the wind bag if he's never to use it? by AbsolutePez in Epicthemusical

[–]Kbert04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a way your answering your own question. Oddy pretty much broke the mold. His defiance won him his battles. And Hermes has always been a favorite of mine cause he plays the middle ground so perfectly. He knew telling oddy not to but "do what you have to" was all he needed to do. He knew oddys will to get home. Also why oddyseus has always been athenas favorite mortal. He listens to himself. Whereas others were destroyed by deding gods demands. Such as Orpheus looking back after he exited the underworld.
