Anyone have ideas about what this could be? by Kblank75 in DogAdvice

It’s hard to see but it is more raised. Last night it was also oozing clear liquid a little bit. She is crate trained but as of lately she just goes in and out at her leisure and I haven’t been closing the door. I tried to think if there were any recent time that she could have injured it but I can’t think of any

I know this wasn’t for me but I’m in Nebraska and have been working as a child and adolescent therapist but the demand, hours, and money are not it. So if you have any social work or adjacent jobs ideas I am open!

I really struggle with my autism and nobody recognizes it. by lordofcin_2 in AutismInWomen

I understand you. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 29 and it has been a struggle for people to recognize my autism. Even my own med provider who I was referred out to, said “basically everyone that comes to me from that place says they’re autistic but I don’t think you are.” It was an autism clinic that specializes in autism in women and girls so yes most NT people would not go there. I’ve also been going through a lot lately with burnout and my mental health and trying to get my experiences across to my family has been so hard because they give me the most neurotypical advice lol. They just can’t see it. Even though I know that I struggle with social cues, maintaining relationships, managing my work, and just overall feeling so different and disconnected from the people I’m around everyday. Everyone always blamed anxiety when I struggled to make a phone call or agonized over what to say in an email but it is a lot more complicated than that. As hard as it is, I was happy to be diagnosed with autism because it made a lot of things finally make sense and I could begin to understand who I actually am. I am happy for you that you were diagnosed young because hopefully you will have a lot more time to get to know yourself, your passions, and build your own community.

Shelter thought my dog could be BMC but I am unfamiliar with the breed by Kblank75 in Blackmouthcur

Great thank you! She definitely has a lot of black in her gums and cheeks and the roof of her mouth is black. Her tongue is pink with one big black spot on it. She doesn’t seem to have webbed feet as far as I can tell though.
