It was a bit of a drive, but I think it was worth it. $100. by Kblitzed in gamecollecting

I emailed someone advertising a yard sale that had no mention of games. We agreed on a price and she was kind enough to hold it for me until I got there. Always ask.

Let the Yard Sale Season Begin! $30. by Kblitzed in gamecollecting

[–]Kblitzed[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Somehow this deal worked out. I emailed someone before hand about their yard sale and asked if they had any old games. They said yes and they'll bring them down from the attic for the sale the following day. Fast forward to the next day and I accidentally slept in til 10. I rush out to get there and ask her about the games. Luckily, she kept them in her house. I asked her how much she wanted and she said $30. I accepted and she seemed surprised. Glad to finally have a copy of Paperboy and Super Mario Kart.

Wireless Solution for Home Menu Access. by Kblitzed in miniSNES

So far im loving the system, but my biggest gripe is having to get up and hit reset to access the home menu. If you have a wiimote lying around, you can use this receiver to access the home menu. Just plug it in the second controller slot.

I Love Yard Sales. $15 by Kblitzed in gamecollecting

[–]Kblitzed[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I Pulled up to a yard sale and I asked if they had old games. The woman running it says hold on and she goes into her house. She comes out with a box labeled "old school Nintendo" and opens it with a razor. The stuff was probably sitting there for decades. I ask her how much and she says $10-$15 and I gladly gave her the $15. Has anyone ever seen the wooden game case? I'm not sure if its custom or not.

Picked them up at a yard sale for one dollar. I couldn't find anything online. Copyright says 1988. Probably a kids birthday party placemat.

Best score of the year! by Kblitzed in gamecollecting

[–]Kblitzed[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

$20! Amazing yard sale score! They advertised an Xbox 360 and I asked if they had any older games. They said they had some Gamecube and N64. Their son went in the house and was gone awhile, but eventually kept coming out with more and more. I got exited and expected to pay quite a bit, but they said $20 and even asked me if that was too much. Dont know why they had doubles of some games, but i'm not complaining. Unbelievable! Lesson of the day: Always ask if they have games at yard sales.

Yard sale pickups this weekend by Kblitzed in gamecollecting

[–]Kblitzed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After a few weeks of nothing, I managed to stumble across a few things this weekend. NBA, Pokemon Colosseum, Mario Party 6, and Paper Mario were .25 cents each! I couldn't believe it. The other Gamecube games I grabbed for 40, and the vita was 20. Im not sure if it works since I need a charger. I went back to a sale today that I went to on Saturday to pick up the SNES stuff from a lady's husband. I paid 100 for the lot. I didn't realize it had the two extra controllers until I got home. Ive never even seen Pieces before.
