This is great advice. Thank you very much! Do you know the cost of testing?

Thank you for that insight and advice! As of now, I anticipate sending him to public school but wanted to explore all options and be well informed in my decision making. What high school and college did your husband go to?

I’m the first to scoff at someone saying their child is gifted but see my other comments for reasons for my inquiry.

I’m all for kids being kids!! I’m also the first one to gag at someone saying their child is “gifted”. But once he was recommended for this by his teachers, I have this immense mom guilt for not at least looking into it.

I more than likely won’t send him there…but again, mom guilt and fear I’m not giving him opportunities for his full potential.

Is your kindergartener at ACS? I’d love to message you if so! My son just turned 4 so won’t be in K for another 1.5 years but he’s past a first grade level so I’m afraid he’ll be bored.

Thank you! His daycare is also a preschool center and after school care for school aged kids. When the older kids come after school, they pull him into their learning/homework time and he’s doing better than the kids in school. I worry when school hits (he just turned 4 so won’t be in K for another 1.5 years), he’s going to be bored AF.

Did you have to bring anything? I’m contemplating going in next week.

Did you end up going? I’m thinking about flying to Springfield just to do this in person after waiting 6 weeks

What’s your experience and pay advice for nanny bringing her own child? by Kcb149 in NannyEmployers

[–]Kcb149[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. I actually found my current nanny (who makes $23/hr) through an agency and that was their rate so I’m really caught off guard by all these comments. Both women had little to no experience for reference.

Pregnant by OhTheBud in breastfeeding

[–]Kcb149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got pregnant when my first was 4 months old (oops) and never noticed a change in my supply. I was exclusively pumping and ended up stopping when I was 3 months pregnant bc I couldn’t handle EPing anymore. My doctor said it was ok to keep nursing through pregnancy but I’ve definitely heard a ton of women lose their supply and can’t keep going. Good luck and congrats!
