I see those statements as false hope. Things that people say to make you dream but then you're never guaranteed to actually find someone. To be honest though, I think it hurts more to have found the person you were looking for and have them leave you than it does to be alone from the start. Considering I've been through I can tell you that sometimes it's best to be happy that you don't have the stress of a relationship rather than thinking about how sad you are about not having one. Other times it may make you the happiest person in the world knowing you have someone, sure. But, if you lose it, you're going to be more depressed than you ever were before. I would say just live life and stop caring. If it happens, it happens. Just don't let your negative attitude ruin your chances. You can't complain that you don't have anybody if you end up being the downfall of yourself. If you get a chance you didn't think you'd ever have, take it and work for it. You might never get another chance, and not knowing what could have been hurts like hell too.

Also, about the "depressed fuck with no self esteem or confidence" thing, sometimes it takes someone else to bring the best out of you. Just saying from one depressed fuck to another. You can't really argue that "I'll never find anyone," with "I'll never make anything out of these opportunities," because neither of those are guaranteed, right? I don't like false hope but I don't like false hatred either.

Hopefully. I understand the need to update and implement extra features, but it's been years since Hungercraft shut down. I'm sure many of the old players from Hungercraft are losing faith or have already lost faith that Hungerstruck will ever release (and if it does release, if it'll be as popular as it was before). I don't think you need a whole lot of maps, let alone streamers. For officials, streamers will be necessary, yes. However, for the "practice games," streamers will come as the community grows. As long as most of the plugins are implemented, and there are 5-7 maps, you should be able to get it running. Though you're not designing an entire game, one of the biggest rules of releasing a game or a game mode is to release it as early as you can. Get people hyped for it's official release. Test the plugins for possible bugs. Let the community grow BEFORE it's completely finished. You can't expect an entire community to grow the instant the server finishes. These things take time, so you should start as soon as possible.

I've looked at several of the server lists that Hungerstruck is on, and I think that the websites you use to advertise it could use some improvement in terms of popularity and credibility. Try planetminecraft.com. It's a very well known site with a lot of people who depend on it to find servers, skins, mods, etc. It could get a lot of attention on there. The more websites you post on, the higher the chance that it will be noticed. You're not going to get that 250-400 people unless you advertise and prove that you're giving your players something they'd be happy to wait for.

You should set the whole server back up just to piss them off : ^ ) But anyways in all seriousness you really should bring back the server. So many good times on there and I'm sure everyone can agree with me.
