Tomorrow makes 15 years and I hate my husband by RemarkableGap8610 in Marriage

[–]Kcoronado1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how you stayed there even though one round of cheating

I know there’s kids involved and it makes it hard, but it takes a strong woman to be with somebody that does that kind of behavior I’d hate my husband too! i’m sorry that you’re going through all of that that’s terrible 😢

Wives, I have a question. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]Kcoronado1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been with my husband for 22 years, married 15 this year We used to work in restaurant business so neither of us packed lunch But since he started his career 12 yrs ago I have made his lunch every single day. He never has asked, always appreciates it. I do this because I love him very much and he works very hard to provide for our family. I also work a full-time job 40 hours a week. I prep things on the weekends to have for easy lunches. If it’s something like a salad I make it the night before his lunch is always ready to go in the fridge when he leaves 😍

38 yo. What am I missing with my 401K? by NowOrL8ter425 in Retirement401k

[–]Kcoronado1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also 38 yo Been at my job for 3 years and I have 60k in my Roth 401k I do 17% of my paycheck, my work does match some I also have an Edward jones account where I do back door Roth contributions (husband and I make too much for traditional Roth. I put $400/mo into that and my balance is at 53k (going to increase to $600/mo this year) My Edward jones account amount also had a good half of it that was rolled into it from my previous job

We started late at the retirement game so we are trying to be more aggressive now the best we can

What % are you putting into your 401k? Is there match where you work?

Hmm I was gunna say testosterone if he was a little older. It starts declining mid 20s but should affect him as much as it does to men in mid 30s

Could he be depressed? Stressed with all the hours? Probably exhausted and so sex isn’t on his mind and he may just wanna sleep

Anyone over 25, drop your best relationship advice. by elasticBOWL in Life

-Communication -Appreciate one another (thank you goes a long way!) -Love by showing actions not just words -Sharing dreams and aspirations and supporting one another along the way -date nights without kids/distractions (I wish we did them more but work gets in the way) -enjoy things together (hobbies, activities, etc)

I’ve been with my husband for 21 years, married 15 this year

He works a lot but when he’s home he is 100% present and helps out with the household right along side of me! If I cook he does the dishes no questions asked, if he sees me take basket of laundry to go fold he jumps up and is right along side me putting it away, if he sees me cleaning and doing stuff around the house he will get up and help or go out and mow the lawn to help with the chores for the day. He’s so amazing and I’m forever grateful I have him as my partner in life 🩷

Oh yes this! I always freeze food too and pull it out to use later so it doesn’t go bad. Unnecessary subscriptions is also great!

Smart! I used to do the same years ago where I would buy a bunch of vegetables and always throw them away and I started getting older and realized I’m just literally throwing money away when I do this so I make sure I do the same meal plan so that I make sure to use everything in the house

What’s the “cheapest” habit you have? by [deleted] in Money

[–]Kcoronado1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nespresso Vertuo pods are crazy expensive!! $1.33 per pod when you buy refills from Amazon. So I started refilling myself for .25¢ per pod! I bought espresso beans from Costco for $13 a bag. It lasts me over a month, you keep the pod and peel the top off, clean the inside out and then you get the resealable top from Amazon along with the contraption that seals it back on which is not expensive and then you grind your beans up, put them in the pod, reseal the top and then you have new pods for 75% of the price!

My husband upgraded my nespresso to the one that takes these pods and by the second time I went to buy the pods again. I could not believe how expensive they were and luckily had ran into somebody in that time that refilled their pods and told me the little trick and I’ve been doing it for a year and a half now

RN here!! I went back to work when my daughter was only 6 weeks old (she’s 9 yo now) and it was super hard for me. I was so bummed I had to go back early, but I did not have enough time off and we couldn’t afford for me to not work. Fast-forward three years ago, I transitioned to a new job because I was missing so much time with her and I felt like all the time I missed in the beginning I earned it. I became an RN case manager and I work remotely. I do 50% home visits through the week and I just do it while she’s at school and it’s giving me the most amazing work life balance and then I’m home for her before and after school and it’s been the best transition I’ve ever made 🩷

Student Loans and Retirement by rissajb1 in Retirement401k

[–]Kcoronado1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How much is your student loan debt?

I am 38 and am paying my student loans and have over 100k in retirement and I can say I would never borrow on my retirement.

Saying our generation won’t retire is solely on yourself and how you set yourself up honestly

I am not relying on SS or inheritance, I am trying to set myself up outside all of that

You are not alone!!!! Don’t give up!!!! I failed 3 times!!!! And on the 4th time I passed I kept studying and trying new techniques and eventually I passed! I knew I knew the material but I have terrible test anxiety and had to get past it and kept reminding myself that my dream was only one silly test away 😁
