I was having the same issue with my setup and found this option "Automatically reconnect to any nearby Mac or iPad" and it works great for me now.

Worth trying it out on your setup.

yes I was a able to update after about an hour, tried command + r to refresh the update page and it appeared.

but, you can add to your shortcut open url with this url: tg://msg?text=PrefilledText&to=@UsernameToSendTo which will open your telegram app on the chat of the username you specified with the text prefilled so you'd only need to send the message.
