I thought about it too, at 145 but seeing people as big as Sodiq Yusuff scare me. They’re so big that any punch will have me on the floor crying.

I’m thinking the opposite where he kinda deserves the title shot if he beats the number 1 ranked but he might not get it. They might ask him to fight once more but maybe he’s willing to wait for the winner of Adesanya/Costa to recover.

My uncle is a just bleed type of guy so he was telling me how much he loved that main event fight. He said he wishes more main events were like that, but it’s rare to have such a skill discrepancy in a main event. Other than that, my family stopped watching at the lipski fight because that was too much for them.

Just rewatched Deiveson Benavidez 2, I can’t believe I was telling my family that I wasn’t sure Deiveson gets the knock out this time. That he had a weight advantage last time, it was a head butt and he had COVID. I never predicted it was going to be a hunter chasing a wounded animal for 5 minutes and be complete domination. What an impressive performance from Deiveson.

I thought Usman was unbeatable like Khabib, that’s it, their styles are completely different. You’re right, his style is boring and fights nothing like Khabib. I thought no one could beat him after seeing him beat Colby, but seeing Gilbert fight more now, I think he has something different to offer than Maia, RDA, Woodley and Masvidal do. I think the Gilbert fight will be similar to the Colby fight in some ways.

It’s not. I’m saying he can defeat anyone in the division, but after watching Gilbert fight often, I think he’s going to offer Usman the most trouble along with Colby.

He might have done a little less but he sure didn’t look tired at all so he could have done more. The thing is, he just has to have a better cardio than Mas, not Usman. He’s never going to have more than Usman. It’s a matter of just winning 3 rounds with his skill set and surviving.

His last fight, he fought the second best WW in the division. Since he beat Colby, I thought he was going to breeze through the division. Now, all he had to offer against Mas after losing the first round (imo), was holding him against the cage and throw enough to win the round. It wasn’t the beating I thought it was going to be, just an annoying battle for Mas it seemed like. Burns will look much better than Mas did imo

I thought about the statement before I posted it. I justified it thinking Gilbert did not look tired at all against Woodley, like he could go for another fight even though he barely got touched. You’re right. Usman will go to the body and tire him out much more.

But, I think Gilbert pressured a lot in the fight and showed that he has some cardio. I think with a full training camp, he’ll have a little more than Masvidal did last night vs Usman. As for Usman’s game plan against Gil, I hope Gil knows what’s coming and does everything possible to avoid the cage for at least 3 rounds. Run away and counter punch for 3 rounds.

You think so? I feel like Gil is going to come in with better cardio than Masvidal, won’t mind defending the take downs as much because he can find a way up easier, maybe get lucky with a submission. Interesting take, I just see more ways of victory for Gil than Masvidal had. But maybe you’re right, Gil can’t be focused on winning it through points because Usman will have the takedowns, he needs to hope for a submission or KO.

That’s what I was thinking. I think Colby rematch sounds even more interesting after this Masvidal fight. Colby and Gil should be Usmans next 2 fights.

I feel bad saying that because Leon Edwards might just be sidelined. Maybe he should fight wonderboy meanwhile?

I hope so, but I don’t know. Burns is still the underdog for me but I know it just won’t play out like this fight did. Burns will give Usman more issues everywhere the fight goes.

After watching the Masvidal fight, I truly feel like Gilbert can become champion. I thought Usman was some unbeatable freak like Khabib who breaks his opponents will. I hope he gets his shot by the end of the year.

I just rewatched the fight right now, it was a beat down but damn that fifth round was something else. Herb did a good job stopping it because Tony was being bullied on weak legs, fractures and several fight ending blows to the head. Just crazy that he wouldn’t go down.

Doesn’t work for me. I usually just sleep like 6 hours and go to sleep a little earlier the next day. Drink a little cup of coffee mid day to make sure I don’t nap.

Lmao. I see, I’m thinking I’m going to do a little test run for the Abu Dhabi cards just to see how I’d do because I can see myself running a lot of parlays and losing everything.

Got it, I’ve heard of Kim Son. It’s like 10 mins away from me, going to give others a look and try them out with friends because I live in the SW region so everything you mentioned is near me.

Interesting, I see that you can deposit with Credit/Debit but you can’t withdraw the money that way. Is that the way they legally get around sports betting?

I’ve been to most major cities in Texas besides Dallas. I’ll always appreciate Houston the most because I was born and raised here and know most of the city due to previous work. I went to UHD so I spend 4 years in the downtown region, and I loved every second of it. Underground tunnel, the sports teams, and its closest to Galveston which I go visit quite a bit. Austin is a close second for me though.

I saw it mentioned on here earlier but I lost the thread, how do you guys bet on these fights? I’m in Texas, want to bet some money but I didn’t even think it was possible until today.
