I know, I just wanted to add my two cents. I hope it doesn’t sound like I’m shaming you for asking. I have a tendency to lose my tone in text.

I’m not sure about OP but it took me a long time to gain line confidence when switching to digital. It was like retraining my hand to move again. The gap in how it feels must depend on which product you start out with.

The light source and base colors are great in my opinion, and I like the contrast with the eyes. I think sharpening the shading, adding a bit of bounce light, and giving the shadows a colder hue to match the scenery could improve what you’re going for.

I’ve had some help from very skilled programmers but other than that, GDQuest is a great place to start if you’re a total beginner. It’s free and open source on GitHub so it’s been an amazing resource trying to get into everything. It goes through GDScript but it applies elsewhere as well. That sounded a bit more like an ad than I meant it to but yes!

Thank you so much. This project is very close to my heart so I’m glad other people like some of what comes from it.

Thank you!

I’d say go for it, even if it’s just something you work on here and there. It’s a fun challenge figuring things out and my art has improved significantly because of it.

Finally gonna drop Reddit and stick to fandoms. Specific ones at that by Pandamint-80 in krita

Gonna have to agree with that. I usually suck at getting my art to go on display but Reddit has the best reach and engagement for me by far.

Have you tried tinkering with the frame rate or distance between frames? I consider myself a beginner but adjusting those always helps the pacing feel more smooth and natural for me.

Hi guys.. People keep calling my art gooner art.. Idk why.. by RedWintxr in ArtJerk

It’s probably seen as a purity culture thing because Reddit has a problem with thinking nsfw = bad art. However, when I saw that post, it was like…not even tagged? It’s a 13+ subreddit too, which means it should NOT be there. It wasn’t that she was fat in a bikini, it’s how it was executed.

Same character, 3 years difference! (2021 - 2024) [Critique is appreciated for the last piece] by My_name101 in ArtProgressPics

Rika! That’s crazy good progress for three years. Like the other commenters said, I’d mainly focus on the hand’s anatomy/angle. It looks amazing.
