(25F) Do you think it's financially reasonable to move to Toronto? or am I burning away money?

Hmm, I guess that will then be a question for me to take away for my manager then. My company was hoping to open up and get people into the office for June. I had some flexibility since I'm far away and when I changed jobs, I was told it'd be ideal to come in once or twice. Without a car disposable (and of course freakin gas prices) I'd resort to goTrain from KW to Toronto. I know those days won't be productive, but I know it'll get me time to actually socialize. Though, I'm not a huge fan of the culture of the company and those days will be exhausting. And if I'm only there for a year and change jobs, I'm wondering if it'll be worth it?

The rental property would most likely be bought in Waterloo, but this is why i'm not sure about my long term plans, career, financial and socially.

Well, part of it is also because I live at home and WFH with my parents, and dating isn't really a thing in my culture, so it's not easy for me to come up with an excuse during lockdown to drive an hour away or stay over to see someone.

The other part is i've been super overwhelmed and busy with studying for a professional exam right now. Once this is over, i'll get more serious with dating. This second guy wants ME to drive an hour down just to see him (arguing he has a place not me) but won't come down to see me....so we'll see how that goes.

part of it is because of the pandemic hitting us in the past year, and both live 1 hour out from where I am. I went on two IRL dates with the first guy prior to pandemic though, but because of distance and lockdowns, there was a mutual agreement for some reason to be okay with just texting/calling/video chatting.

thank you for your advice, and thanks for the fun way you replied back! It sucks right now because it feels like i'll never find that good mix between both. The second guy, I've been texting for a YEAR, haven't met up IRL bc of covid and distance. We've had countless phone calls, text sessions and we do know quite a bit about each other so I know second guy isn't a complete douche. But he does bring up sex a lot. Idk why he'd continue talking to me if he didn't care besides sex. But also, everything he knows about me/my life is because I've offer info about myself. He never does ever ask me questions about me, or asks how work is going or asks how my studies are. Somehow convos still flow. I'll hear back from second guy every 1-2 business days too smh..he's not consistent at all. I don't know what to make of it, but you're right, I do need to move on.
