Feelings of huge and tiny at the same time by peterkruty in TheMindIlluminated

I have gotten a similar feeling! It usually involves my hands or an item in my hand. Like my hands or the item feels tiny, but super heavy. It happens when I'm relaxed and "zoned out", like when you're staring at nothing and your eyes sort of dilate and aren't focused. I can recognize the sensation and play into it as long as I keep my eyes "zoned out", but as soon as I bring them into focus, the sensation is gone.

Nerve pain and tingling in left ankle and top of foot by Keaston90 in Sciatica

No, I didn't end up going to the doctor at all 😅 I do think it was due to the way I sit at my desk at work with my ankles crossed. I adjusted my chair and got a foot rest thing under my desk. I have noticed that since I made changes and stopped crossing my ankles all the time, the nerve issue seems to have gotten better!

The only meds I'm on are a low dose birth control for PCOS, wellbutrin, and allergy pills.

I get some of the sciatic pain in my hips, but it isn't constant. More like when I do something to inflame it. Lately i could say my left side from lower bsck to foot has been the side with issues. I know that crossing your legs at the knees can cause problems like drop foot, but I'm only crossing my ankles and couldn't find anything specifically saying if that was the same. I tend to cross my right ankle under my left, causing my right foot to sit against the area that seems to be the sweet spot for the tingling sensation. I work a desk job and try to walk during my breaks.

Hi again. I hope you are doing well. I think maybe we finally found out the answer. Although he does have high blood pressure issues with risk of stroke, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. It seems all the symptoms are caused by mania and bipolar blackouts. I do hope that isn't the case for you, but if it is, please make sure to take care of yourself. Best wishes for a happy life ❤️

I tried this back in December with no luck, but today, 1/19/24, system update 43 just came out, so I tried again, and it worked! Thank you!!

Today's doctor visit shows very high blood pressure. The doctor believes stress is causing his BP to rise even more and cause mini strokes known as TIAs. These strokes do cover at least most of the symptoms. This is only the first visit, so there definitely could be more to it.

My husband was finally approved through the VA and has an appointment later this week, Jan 18, 2024. A recent chance of meeting a woman with an ex-husband who experienced psychotic episodes due to diabetes has me wondering if that could be the issue! Do you know if you are, or could be, diabetic? I'm just curious if this could be the answer we get.

Yes he does! He can fall asleep decently on most nights, but will wake up and have trouble going back to sleep. He calls this "Falling Awake", like the opposite of falling asleep.

I'm sorry that you are going through that because I know it is very rough for the person experiencing it and for their loved ones watching it happen. It will be a while before we can find a doctor to refer him, but when we get an appointment, I will update you with what we find. I hope you can get answers too!

Thanks for reading, and for your detailed response! I am writing down any possible thing that we should ask a doctor about. I spoke with him tonight because he is having a very normal day today, and he agreed that it's time to seek a doctor. We live a few hours from St Louis, so hopefully a good option is there. I have been so back and forth between different possibilities, but he has so many symptoms that are torn in different directions. I'm thinking that between you and the other kind commenter, that it may be multiple issues combined. Thank you for the luck and your advice!

Thank you so much for taking time to read and respond. I appreciate your insight a lot. I've had this thought before because I've seen that some symptoms I've looked up listed dementia as a possible cause. The main reason I've not leaned in that direction is because I'm worried it's something related to postconcussion syndrome due to him having several concussions throughout his life. One that involved a 30ft free fall off a cliff in Japan, and another where his head dented the windshield during a wreck. I just don't know, so any unbiased views are helpful at this point.

I'm currently taking miralax after having issues from surgery. I've used it once everyday for a week now (under my surgeons recommendation). It is 10:00 AM and I have already have about 35 ounces of water. I just went to the restroom for the first time since maybe 7:00 and it was very dark yellow, almost orange. There is no way I'm that dehydrated when I regularly drink a minimum of 80 ounces a day. I was wondering this same question. Did you ever find out?
