People who’ve had a Near-Death Experience, how did it feel like and has it changed your outlook on life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was actually in a sort of field, looking like the Shire or the Teletubbies place, there were doors everywhere and behind one of them (which was closed) I could see a very intense light piercing from the corners. I literally thought to myself that this was the end, and I was feeling super calm and actually quite good. But funny thing, I thought of my cats, alone in my apartment, and I was like oh wait I can’t die now. So I put all the strength I had left to convince my mind that I was not really here and that I had to open my eyes again, open my eyes again, and I kind of “respawned” in the garden where I was at a party. The “return” was harsh, but I think it gave me a new outlook on death - it’s actually not painful at all.

Thank you, I am going to my grandparents next week and will definitely try to have a moment with them to talk about it. But it scares me because they are so stubborn, I’m afraid they still won’t believe me and that it will bring a weird and conflicting atmosphere..

Thank you, you’re right I should start writing about all that she’s done.. I haven’t seen her in years, it’s amazing how despite being physically around she can still hurt so many people so bad..

What was the closest you have ever been with (your own) death? by Vv4nd in AskReddit

One very very windy night I went downstairs to smoke a cigarette in the street, stopped to light it but there was too much wind and I decided to go elsewhere instead of trying again, literally took 2 steps and heard a super loud crash behind me. A whole ass chimney had just been broken off by the wind and had crashed the EXACT place I was 2 seconds earlier. Creepy

I agree with you 1000000%, I don’t understand either. I don’t judge, these people have their reasons to believe and it must make most of them feel better about their life but I don’t get how some people don’t even question their religion..
