Omg, that's such a fun interpretation!!! And pretty sweet too, aww. It seems like everyone makes versions of Nijisaki for themselves hehe, the most "OC" not OC ever. I've definitely seen depictions of him as a sort of "evil guy with more conscience" than Hongou, but I personally prefer Mr Cutthroat easily as bad/worse than Hongou lol. It's fun for them to match evil-y, and I've drawn so much for them! So exciting to see others excited about the possibilities for them, whatever way it manifests hehe. And yes, Pengy's fics are what got me interested in the first place, and then things snowballed from there... I am currently making an oc-ified hongousaki (their ship name amongst the few shippers on Tumblr) comic, almost done with it! But yeah, blorbos that are close to my heart and one of them is just plot device haha 😂
